How long?

My visa left DHL yesterday at 22:16, how long does it normally take to get to its destination? My visa is going to North Bay, which isn't crazy far. Is it overnight delivery? Thanks I'm hoping I can POE on Saturday. If not I have to wait until Wednesday, and I am so anxious to go!

Does the strike in Canada affect DHL? I know it has stalled all mail coming from US to Canada. I hope you get it soon. Best wishes

Quick question: for you to see when it reached DHL, did you use your reference ID or a waybill number. If it was the latter, how did you obtain yours? DOS said my visa was printed on Monday, so I am trying to figure out what I do now lol.

Um, it shouldn't? Since its not going through post offices. The only thing Im worried about is that DHL will have a larger volume of mail right now. I guess I shouldn't book my flight just yet, eh?

I just logged onto the US visa info website, and my waybill number was right there on the top! I clicked it and it took me to the DHL tracking website. I didn't even need to use my reference number. I havent gotten an email or call from DHL or anything, though. I hope you get your visa soon, I know the wait is SO frustrating! It did say that it DHL got it at 7pm last night, so maybe yours will be updated tonight?

Thanks, I hope we can have our visas in hand by the end of this week. And yeah, this wait is very frustrating but I for one am glad that this part is nearing its end .

Me too. The post interview part was supposed to be the easy part! It was the most stressful for me, so far... Hopefully POE will be easy.

hi there: back at the end of 2010, when i received my K1, they were using 2 day delivery (ie, 2 full business days)...at least that's what it said on the package from DHL i picked up. i was in ontario too.

mine was sent after business hours on a friday evening, and i received a call from DHL bright and early on the following wednesday morning telling me they had my package. my DHL tracking number never showed up on the website.

so to answer your question, it is possible that saturday POE may happen, but you may risk losing money on the ticket, and just cause additional stress. i waited till i had my visa in hand, and then booked a ticket.

First : congratulations on your visa!!!

DHL delivery is supposed to be overnight. When I called them before getting my visa, they told me the trucks leave Montreal around 6-7 at night and overnight the visas right after going through their Dorval branch. You should be getting your visa sometime today

The email notification was pretty fast for me. It was ready for pickup the morning after they picked it up from the consulate.
