okaaaaaaaaaay, but equally strange is the charge of mutilation... I mean seriously, she mutilated a dead body???

even stranger someone here on vj thinks she should be able to keep it

She wrapped it in foil and put it in a lunchbox to take home but was spotted by a nurse and arrested.

Uta, who was wed to Heinrich, 68, for 35 years, is accused of mutilation.

She reportedly told police: "It was his best asset and gave me so much pleasure.

Weird, but she should have been able to keep it if she wanted to.

If surviving spouses can keep the ashes of a loved one after cremation, why not this?

provided the body is cremated in accordance with health directives sure. that don't mean you can start slicing parts off someone who is dead just because you wanted "a piece of the rock" ya know? :P

It wasn't just "someone who is dead", it was her husband. I don't know, like I said, weird, but whatever flaots her boat....

provided the body is cremated in accordance with health directives...

You mean I can't put in my will that if I die at home my wife should just throw me into the fireplace?

illegal disposal of a body then. although you could always suggest she have a weenie roast on the outdoor bbq

that don't give her rights to mutilate his body afterward. otherwise, you'd see lots of racks mounted on walls and i don't mean deer :P

What if he had agreed to it? For example, like Gupt said, in his will.
