There is a waitinglist for your priority date to become current, it's about 3 years. When did you file for him?

hi

I am LPR and my I-130 for my spouse is approved on june 6.how long the NVC takes a time to assign the case.

about 15 working days from June 6 you should get a case number. either talk to NVC operator or wait for the system to update your case.

then wait another week or two you should get an email from NVC about your case.

good luck!

You are getting a good one! LOL dancin5hr.gif

Plz send an e-mail to "NVCResearch@state.gov" asap attaching your USCIS approval letter. I had the same problem. Kept waiting for the NVC to assign my case number. Every time I called the NVC, they said, call next week. Finally, a nice operator told me it shudn't take more than 2 weeks. He asked me to send an e-mail in this address. After I sent the e-mail, I had my case number assigned less than a week. The format should be like this.

Subject: Case Number# EAC XXXXXXXXXX

Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is -. My DOB is -. My beneficiary's name is -. Her DOB is -. NVC has not received my case so far. Would you please locate my case?

Thanking you in advance. Please note that I have attached my approval letter with this email.

Sincerely,

-

Good Luck!
