Right now, my mom is using boost mobile to call Vietnam. We are paying for the $50 unlimited national wide plan and $10 international plan. And we call Vietnam as much as I want for $66 after taxes. Mind you, we also have unlimited Internet with this plan.

I use facetime (iphone 4) to make calls.

I jailbreak and installed FaceBreak for her to beablet o make calls over 3g when shes not home.

Cost me:

2x iPhone 4 (initial cost of $199 + taxes)

Viettel 3G Mobile Internet *$200,000 vietnamese money a month

so cost me about 15 a month just to talk to my wife whereever we are and feel like it.

=)

Its idiot proof too =)

Apple sells factory unlock iPhones now. Locked iPhone can be unlock through Gevey sim method, however have to be unlocked if phone resets or battery dies. This is for iPhone 4]

Factory unlocked iPhone have been sold for some time now in other countries and recently in the US.

Where can I buyiPhone 4 for $200 no contract? Last time I checked with Apple, they wanted 600-700 for one.

I am not sure where you would find an iPhone 4 for $200 no contract. I got mines used $380. For new ones it's either with a contract $200 or the full price phone only. If you wait for new iPhone 5 or iPhone 4gs whatever they will call it then the iPhone 4 will drop price but not to the $200 you are looking for.

Thanks, that's kinda what I thought. I don't want to buy an iphone on contact because I don't want to pay the monthly data fee.

When I went back to Vietnam (in Feb 2011) I brought my iphone 4 back and used textfree voice and skype over a wireless network at my house. It was free and I just bummed the wireless network connection from my neighbor (cousin)! :)

Can you call Vietnam cell phone using boost mobile? I have metro pcs with unlimited international calling but I can only call landline, not cellphone?
