Hi Everyone,

I am pretty sure I am repeating questions that have already been posted, but cant seem to find the answers. Any help for the following questions would be greatly appreciated.

I-847 - Part 1: Should my Husband (US Citizen), tick the first box that says: I am the petitioner. I filed or am filing for the immigration of my relative.

He will be my sole sponsor and I entered the States on a K1 visa and we are now doing AOS.

I-485 - Part 3: It asks if you are a member of a club or any other organization. I was in a union with work years ago and also I am a member of the YMCA gym. Should I list either of these? I am not sure if this is what they are looking for?

Thanks for all of your help

Well...you called it an I-846 and I-847, but if you mean the I-864 Affidavit of Support, use this VJ sample form http://www.visajourney.com/examples/INS-Form-I-864.pdf

I-485 - Part 3: Just answer it literally. List your affiliations.

Thanks for the advice. I was looking at the form when I began to fill out the I-864 but the sample does not have any boxes ticked. I assume it's the first one as it is the only one that really relates to my situation. I personally wouldn't class a spouse as a relative but I guess that is the one.

Yep, that's the box to tick. Uscis counts your spouse as a relative.

It's the petitioner! The number one reason he is filing the I-864 is because he is the petitioner. The fact he is your spouse is secondary.

Just list those things said for the club organisation thing. I think they're really looking to see if you're a communist or something, but you need to list applicable things and they then will look at it and decide it's not relevant :-)
