I filed the I129f petition in June 2006, but we are seeing if we can get married inthe foreign country. Is it possible to get married, file the I 130, and have the I129F forwarded to the chicago service center? (The california service center has not started reviewing the I129f yet.)

2/20/2007--K-1 interview and approved visa!!!

You might want to wait a little while longer. K3's are being processed allot slower than k1. Approvals for k1 are moving along fine where it appears that K3 are slugish. There has been people whom have filed a K1 way after some of us k3'rs and they are now approved. You might want to consider the waiting time before you make any decicions. Lots of us on the K3 process have mentioned that if we had knonw that the wating was longer for a k3 we would have waited on getting married and filed for a k1 instead. I know that this has nothing to do with your question but just something you should want to concider before you decide to make a move. All the best on what ever road you take.

nope, you cannot transfer an I-129F for K1 to a K3, it doesn't work that way.

As stated above, K1s are faster than K3, always have been, always will be. If you get married now and start a K3/CR1, you're looking at nearly a year before you're together.

divorced - April 2010 moved back to Ontario May 2010 and surrendered green card

PLEASE DO NOT PRIVATE MESSAGE ME OR EMAIL ME. I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT CURRENT US IMMIGRATION PROCEDURES!!!!!
