My RFE was good faith marriage . Post cards help a lot christmas bdays the whole nine yards if you didn't have joint bank accout write a statement explaing why you own statement is the key. Write and tell them why you don't have certain things they are human don't be affraid and don't rush I took the whole time that they gave me to respond.good luck and try to find it all remember your statement is the key.....

Do send a letter to renew prima ASAP! I think it really helps. You don't need ur lawyer for that though. Is just as simple as writing " this letter is to request an extension of p...."

Fourth week of January has just begun. Hope this new week brings in some good news for all of us who are waiting!!

Feb 18th 2011 - filed I360, I485 and I765

Feb 21st - receipt notice received

Feb 27th - prima facie received

March 18th - letter for biometrics appointment for April 15th

April 15th - biometrics appointment done

May 15th - EAD approved

May 20th - received EAD card

Sept 23rd - RFE received

Dec 14th - RFE response send

Feb 17th 2012 - filed for EAD renewal

Feb 23rd - received an email from USCIS: I360 APPROVED!!!

Feb 23rd - transferred my case to NBC

Feb 24th - receipt notice for EAD renewal

March 7th - RFE issued for EAD

March 13th - RFE response send

March 29th - EAD renewal approved

April 10th - received EAD card

hey guys, I have a quetion:

my friend got married in her country, now 7 years later they are about to divorce and he is saying that she has no right to the assets bc the wedding was not registered here... is that true?

nov 04 Went to interview by myself, told officer will aplly for vawa

11/04 I485 touched (still on initial review)

11/21 officer called lawyer about the I485 (btw: really nice IO)

12/10 apply for VAWA, without background check

12/11 lawyer drop off a copy of I360 for the IO

12/15 Prima faice received

12/18 sent background check, also sent a letter to IO asking to expedite the I485 to vermont to be linked with I360

12/31 I360 touched

08/04 Apply for EAD renew

08/18 receive NOA

08/26 new card ordered

08/31 new card ordered (again??)

09/01 notice of approval of I765... (where is my VAWA approval??? God help me...)

09/03 EAD arrived in the mail!! ufa!

10/03 Sent letter to renew prima facie and inquire about vawa status.

10/05 I360 touched- changed to "Request for evidence review" (WTH????)

11/27 Recieved prima facie extension

she is here? she can register the wedding here , even if she get divorce you can register your wedding, for the 7 years they been here or in her country? if she is in her country right now she can go at sua ambbasy and register her marriage

september 2010 -received work authorization without fingerprints

june 2011 - renewal prima facie

june 2011 - got RFE in the mail

july 2011 - applied for renewal I-765

august 2011 - sent respond to RFE

september 2011 - I765 approval never got it, uscis sent 2 times on wrong address

october 2011 - applied again for replacement work authorization

october 2011 - fingerprints done

november 2011- called uscis for renewal prima facie

november 2011 - got a letter I-765 moved to another office

december 2011 - called uscis regarding my prima facie, sent it to wrong address

december 23rd 2011 - got first transfer notice I-485 to NBC

one more thing , if she live here, not is not true, he saying that just because he doent want to pay her, she can ask for alimony, she just need her marriage certificate, and she needs an attorney

that is not true, he is afraid of something for shore, for example my passport it will expired soon and i went to my ambbasy to apply for renewal and they put me to register my marriage and after that to register my divorce too, it will be good for her to do it right the way, because if she will get married in the future here she will have problems because she did not register her marriage ...long time ago i heard about something like this ...100% is not true what he saying

but you dont need to ceremony here with the marriage certificate you go at the court house and they will tell you exactly what steps to do, you dont need to remarry again
