Hello everyone,

I just would like to say Happy New Year to everyone and may 2012 bring everyone speedy approvals and lots of happiness. Some of you may know me and some of you may not. I started the first VAWA thread; I remember starting this Thread because no information on VAWA were on this forum. I was lost, I had many unanswered questions and most of all I felt like I was going through my journey alone. This thread was started by me asking one simple question and I ended up with an entire family of people who were going through the same problems as I was. This thread and the wonderful people I've had the pleasure of meeting gave me so much hope and helped me to stay strong. Yes!! the process is a grueling wait, sometimes you want to lose hope and give up on everything but my message to all of you is to stay strong, be positive and lean on each other. It's the people that I've met on here that kept me fighting day in and day out, we leaned on each other for strength, hope and positivity. My I-360 took a whooping 20 months before I was finally approved.I believe if you are truthful and honest about everything in this process you have nothing to worry about and believe me, USCIS knows what's true and what's false. Please keep the faith, keep hope alive and believe that your journey will soon end and good things will come your way. it's been (2) years since my journey has been over, but it seems as if it was just yesterday. I will apply for Citizenship in October of this year. I wish you all the best of luck in this journey and may you see the light at the end of the tunnel in 2012.

March 18th - letter for biometrics appointment for April 15th

April 15th - biometrics appointment done

May 15th - EAD approved

May 20th - received EAD card

Sept 23rd - RFE received

Dec 14th - RFE response send

Feb 17th 2012 - filed for EAD renewal

Feb 23rd - received an email from USCIS: I360 APPROVED!!!

Feb 23rd - transferred my case to NBC

Feb 24th - receipt notice for EAD renewal

March 7th - RFE issued for EAD

March 13th - RFE response send

March 29th - EAD renewal approved

April 10th - received EAD card

nov 04 Went to interview by myself, told officer will aplly for vawa

11/04 I485 touched (still on initial review)

11/21 officer called lawyer about the I485 (btw: really nice IO)

12/10 apply for VAWA, without background check

12/11 lawyer drop off a copy of I360 for the IO

12/15 Prima faice received

12/18 sent background check, also sent a letter to IO asking to expedite the I485 to vermont to be linked with I360

12/31 I360 touched

08/04 Apply for EAD renew

08/18 receive NOA

08/26 new card ordered

08/31 new card ordered (again??)

09/01 notice of approval of I765... (where is my VAWA approval??? God help me...)

09/03 EAD arrived in the mail!! ufa!

10/03 Sent letter to renew prima facie and inquire about vawa status.

10/05 I360 touched- changed to "Request for evidence review" (WTH????)

11/27 Recieved prima facie extension

11/30 VAWA APPROVED!!!! yupiiiiiiiiiiiiii12/04 I360 Touched

12/22 Interview noticed for 01/23/12

12/26 Interview canceled by USCIS

12/31 New interview notice for 01/30/12

01/31/12 Interview and new biometrics done!!!

Don't worry, Dee. It will come soon. Two weeks out of those four weeks might be vacation time for USCIS team....

Waiting patiently on my interview app it's now four weeks since my VAWA was approved.

Don't worry.....the hardest part of approval is done for you. And now the baby hurdles will be resolved soon as well.....till then, keep smiling!! :thumbs::D

Didn't call all they're gonna say is to wait I get more comfort here talking to you guys.... I get better answer from this forum .

It already did on Dec 19 but I dont want to go into an interview without trying to renew I don't know what mood the io might be in my employer is willing to give me some time based on the pending i485 but now I'm scared .

Anybody have a clue whats going on with processing times? They have not been updated since November 14 2011. On USCIS site says that they update it around 15th of each month.

Macbook, they say that they will update it on the 15th of every month. They don't always stick to that timeline. Coupled with the fact that last couple of weeks were holidays for USCIS office, I'm not shocked that they have not updated their processing times. Although, they might update it sometime this month....

It's incredible, still feels brand new to me. I'm just very grateful for everything and my life is finally on the right track. I know what everyone is going through, and again if anyone needs any help or have any questions or just want someone to talk to I'm here, I am more than happy to listen and give any advice I can.
