nov 04 Went to interview by myself, told officer will aplly for vawa

11/04 I485 touched (still on initial review)

11/21 officer called lawyer about the I485 (btw: really nice IO)

12/10 apply for VAWA, without background check

12/11 lawyer drop off a copy of I360 for the IO

12/15 Prima faice received

12/18 sent background check, also sent a letter to IO asking to expedite the I485 to vermont to be linked with I360

12/31 I360 touched

08/04 Apply for EAD renew

08/18 receive NOA

08/26 new card ordered

08/31 new card ordered (again??)

09/01 notice of approval of I765... (where is my VAWA approval??? God help me...)

09/03 EAD arrived in the mail!! ufa!

10/03 Sent letter to renew prima facie and inquire about vawa status.

10/05 I360 touched- changed to "Request for evidence review" (WTH????)

11/27 Recieved prima facie extension

august 2010 - filed I-360, I-485, I-765

september 2010 - received prima facie

september 2010 -received work authorization without fingerprints

june 2011 - renewal prima facie

june 2011 - got RFE in the mail

july 2011 - applied for renewal I-765

august 2011 - sent respond to RFE

september 2011 - I765 approval never got it, uscis sent 2 times on wrong address

october 2011 - applied again for replacement work authorization

october 2011 - fingerprints done

november 2011- called uscis for renewal prima facie

november 2011 - got a letter I-765 moved to another office

december 2011 - called uscis regarding my prima facie, sent it to wrong address

december 23rd 2011 - got first transfer notice I-485 to NBC

january 11th 2012 - rceived the approval I-360...soo happy

january 17th 2012 - got second transfer notice email I-485 to local office

february 21th 2012 -i called uscis regarding my pending I 765, i did also service request

february 27th 2012 - got an email that they ask me for RFE in my case for I-765...omg

MARCH 1TH - gor the RFE about my I765, they ask me for 2 photos even i did my AOS 2 months ago

march 29 2012 - i got my inerview notice for april 11 and biometrics on april 6 ...soo happy

APRIL 11 2012 --- I485 APPROVED....YEEEEEEEE

I agree. There is no point checking anything now until next Tuesday......everything will be standstill atleast till then.

Have a Happy New Year everyone!!! And for all of us who are waiting, let's hope and stay positive that 2012 will bring us approvals!!!

What are your timelines with respect to filing VAWA??

My exact thoughts, but it`s hard not to. They haven`t updated the processing timelines in a since Nov 14th, maybe they are on break. This wait is killing me :(

Feb 18th 2011 - filed I360, I485 and I765

Feb 21st - receipt notice received

Feb 27th - prima facie received

March 18th - letter for biometrics appointment for April 15th

April 15th - biometrics appointment done

May 15th - EAD approved

May 20th - received EAD card

Sept 23rd - RFE received

Dec 14th - RFE response send

Feb 17th 2012 - filed for EAD renewal

Feb 23rd - received an email from USCIS: I360 APPROVED!!!

Feb 23rd - transferred my case to NBC

Feb 24th - receipt notice for EAD renewal

Hello everyone,

I just would like to say Happy New Year to everyone and may 2012 bring everyone speedy approvals and lots of happiness. Some of you may know me and some of you may not. I started the first VAWA thread; I remember starting this Thread because no information on VAWA were on this forum. I was lost, I had many unanswered questions and most of all I felt like I was going through my journey alone. This thread was started by me asking one simple question and I ended up with an entire family of people who were going through the same problems as I was. This thread and the wonderful people I've had the pleasure of meeting gave me so much hope and helped me to stay strong. Yes!! the process is a grueling wait, sometimes you want to lose hope and give up on everything but my message to all of you is to stay strong, be positive and lean on each other. It's the people that I've met on here that kept me fighting day in and day out, we leaned on each other for strength, hope and positivity. My I-360 took a whooping 20 months before I was finally approved.I believe if you are truthful and honest about everything in this process you have nothing to worry about and believe me, USCIS knows what's true and what's false. Please keep the faith, keep hope alive and believe that your journey will soon end and good things will come your way. it's been (2) years since my journey has been over, but it seems as if it was just yesterday. I will apply for Citizenship in October of this year. I wish you all the best of luck in this journey and may you see the light at the end of the tunnel in 2012.

I agree, Dee. Now is the time to realistically hope for something to happen...our cases to move. As the holidays season has ended and VSC team members must be back to their offices..good luck!!!
