Hi everyone ... I have to tell you that I am planing to apply for WORK PERMIT .. I 360 march 25 2011 just I 797 and one touch nothing else no prima facie.. PLease help me in this process no lawyer but I really Need to work..

1- I 765 how can I get fee waiver

2- do I need to apply for I 485 adjust status

Please help me .. Thanks again .. Happy holidays

from my experience i know that you need to have I-485 pending to apply for work permit

august 2010 - filed I-360, I-485, I-765

september 2010 - received prima facie

september 2010 -received work authorization without fingerprints

june 2011 - renewal prima facie

june 2011 - got RFE in the mail

july 2011 - applied for renewal I-765

august 2011 - sent respond to RFE

september 2011 - I765 approval never got it, uscis sent 2 times on wrong address

october 2011 - applied again for replacement work authorization

october 2011 - fingerprints done

november 2011- called uscis for renewal prima facie

november 2011 - got a letter I-765 moved to another office

december 2011 - called uscis regarding my prima facie, sent it to wrong address

december 23rd 2011 - got first transfer notice I-485 to NBC

january 11th 2012 - rceived the approval I-360...soo happy

january 17th 2012 - got second transfer notice email I-485 to local office

february 21th 2012 -i called uscis regarding my pending I 765, i did also service request

february 27th 2012 - got an email that they ask me for RFE in my case for I-765...omg

MARCH 1TH - gor the RFE about my I765, they ask me for 2 photos even i did my AOS 2 months ago

march 29 2012 - i got my inerview notice for april 11 and biometrics on april 6 ...soo happy

APRIL 11 2012 --- I485 APPROVED....YEEEEEEEE

In order to get work permit you need to have approved I-360 (Not prima facie)

Another way is to apply for I-360, I-485 and I-765 and work permit will be approved based on pending I-485.

i'm not sure if you can submit now I-485 because you already filed I-360!

You can apply for a work permit just like I did with ONLY a VAWA application (pending VAWA case). You need to indicate that you are a VAWA applicant in your form. However, there is no fee waiver for a work permit as you have to pay the full amount of about $380

Hey guys, so on Dec 23 I got an email saying that my interview had been scheduled for Jan 26 but I live in CO and they scheduled the interview at the National Benefit Center which is Missouri :( I had to call customer service and ask them to have the interview in my state...has that happened to anyone else here?

I mean I had to ask them to reschedule it to the state where I live...hopefully that wont delay my process too much :(

In order to get work permit you need to have approved I-360 (Not prima facie)

Another way is to apply for I-360, I-485 and I-765 and work permit will be approved based on pending I-485.

i'm not sure if you can submit now I-485 because you already filed I-360!

Ssisi10 just like Macboon has stated you can only I apply for a work permit if you have i-485 pending or else apply for a work permit on its on with a copy of your receipt for i-360 but you will pay $380 or you can apply i-485 and pay $1010 and the EAD fee will be waived its not too late you can send your i-485 together with your i-765(EAD) now remember with a copy of i-360 receipt to vermont.

Carlo ,its been a longtime and good to hear from you on VJ.You wont have your interview at NBC in missouri thats just where the letter is coming from but you will have your interview in Colorado nearest immigration office in your city .Wishing you all the best with your interview and Merry Christmas to you all and we hope and pray 2012 brings the best for each one of us.

august 2010 - filed I-360, I-485, I-765

september 2010 - received prima facie

Guys I got a letter today saying that due to unforeseen circumstances my interview is cancelled.... Omg I'm sooo upset!!!! I can not believe this.... :(

Juliet!!! Yupiiiiiiiiu ur case has been approved!!! I can start celebrating!!! I'm so happy for u!!!!

Julieta....that's wonderful news! Your case seems to be approved.....congratulations! In the past a few of our VJ members received similar notices and in a few days have received their approval notices. So I'm really happy for you! Time to relax.....the wait is over for you!

Feb 21st - receipt notice received

Feb 27th - prima facie received

March 18th - letter for biometrics appointment for April 15th

April 15th - biometrics appointment done

May 15th - EAD approved

May 20th - received EAD card

Sept 23rd - RFE received

Dec 14th - RFE response send

Feb 17th 2012 - filed for EAD renewal

Feb 23rd - received an email from USCIS: I360 APPROVED!!!

Feb 23rd - transferred my case to NBC

Feb 24th - receipt notice for EAD renewal

March 7th - RFE issued for EAD

Carla dont worry, nbc Issues the letter but the interview is in the local center next to your address.... U will be fine...

Maybe they didn't transfer your file on time to the local office and they just need some more time to review it.

It's really weard. They touched I-360 after approval?
