Oh wow....liveurlife. Why would USCIS send you an interview date and now again make you waiting for a few more days....but don't worry. Your approval is coming soon. We all are praying for you.

And I agree, most of the govt employees have already gone out for their time off. So Lets hope that the new year brings good news for all of us who are waiting!

Hey Guys, how r u all doing?Inpeace & Dee, i see you are almost about to get your interview notices, hoping it comes soon so that all these will be over with.I got an interview notice but no VAWA approval so i was very worried, my heart was almost jumping out of my chest.I've been making inquiries since my 2nd 60days was up.Any news @ this point will be greatly welcomed. So my attorney contacted VSC to inquire about my case and why i was scheduled 4 interview(how they respond to attorneys so fast is beyond me & they keep us quiet when we try to call & check on our cases).Anyway, they said that my case is still pending at VSC so the interview must not have been scheuled while pending...huh?They apologized for the mix up and promise to get back to her in 14-21days through the mail and will be sending out any notices then, i hope this is approval notice this time and then interview can follow after that.I'm really tired of waiting,i don't want to start the new year thinking about VAWA again, i want to move on with my life.I'm relieved though, this inquiry at least is a guarantee that my case is being looked into even though their website is still showing response to RFE review. It donesn't look like any news is going to come around this xmas as gov workers will soon go on holidays, some have already gone.

Yeah Hopeful-2011 i know,i would have appreciated if they sent the approval notice instead and let me just keep the interview appt next month. But then,u never can predict USCIS,u just learn to be patient. If u were never patient b/4,USCIS will teach u how to be.After all the pics of injuries and stories they read everyday,i can't understand why these cases are not expedited & processed faster, they continue to torture you mentally.I'm just hoping that they keep to their words & get back to me even sooner than i expect.

That is so true, liveurlife. It would have been nice if they sent the approval notice instead and let you keep the interview date. But oh well, my friend. I wish we all had our ways :) Atleast the good part is, they are looking at your case positively. And you have some indication on that....trust me, pretty soon you'll get your approval! I'm praying for you.....

I so agree with you....that after hearing and see all our trauma, it would be nice if USCIS team and look at our cases quickly....but again, as long as my case gets approved...I'm happy. All the wait would be worth it!!!!

Loveme, u don't have to be divorce for u to attend ur interview-ur interview is based on ur i-360 petition filed by u.U cannot use ur maiden name though unless u are divorced and request a name change back to your maiden name, some people like to keep their married name after divorce. If u don't want ur married name on ur GC,the best is get a divorce b4 then...doing it urself by picking up the forms from ur local county clerk's office where live will save u money,u just get to spend a couple of dollars. They will give u guidiance there if u don't know what to do.I filed mine in 2009 & had to wait 60days b/4 it was finalized.I also requested a name change right there back to my maiden name which was granted.I was d only one that showed up b4 d judge.Anyway, all my info is in my married name SSN,DL etc but my petition is in my maiden name,i can't even change my name right now with DPS or match my SSN with the maiden name until i provide the appropriate immigration papers so i'm stuck using both names till my petition is approved.I use my maiden name for everythg except areas where i have to use my SSN.So, don't worry too much,u r not alone.I'm not working either right now, cos VSC have not send d EAD as promised but God has been faithful. Most of my initial correspondence from them were returned b/c of a mistake in the address, that has delayed my processing. My attorney has requested they send the EAD this past monday again, so hopefully now that they have cancelled my fake interview, they should be sending me an EAD.Delay doesn't mean denial. He who watches over Israel neither sleep nor slumber.

reading this makes me feel so at ease, thanks for your kind words and info. I checked about the divorce and it will cost $420 , i wish i had the money to do it now, but it's so difficult when you're not working and can hardly feed yourself. I checked with legal aid but they're only taking cases with restraining order against the spouse. I don't have a restraining order against him. Do you know of any other agencies i could check with that could help me file it and help with the cost? ....... God will see us through...I keep Praying for us all..
