Hey guys, can anyone tell me how long it takes for uscis to give an interview after you reschedule? I reschedule my interview about 4 weeks now and I got no response.......the interview was in a different state from where I live.....thanx guys.

Hi Kymber22 been wondering what happend after approval of your i-360.Good to hear from you ,i think thats what happend to Yulisa she had her interview re-scheduled twice becuase she moved to another state.Did you go online to change of address so you can be interviewed local office in the state where you are now? You call uscis and explain or else they will keep sending interview letter at your previous address and this may delay your GC.Wishing you well and all the best ,whats happening guys no good news this week.I pray will hear something good next week.Have a great weekend all of you.

Yesterday I went to see a lawyer .. I filed my vawa case march 25 just have I 797 nothing else.... attorney want 1,500. I do not know what to do ... please any advise..

I paid 1000 for my whole case, but fees varies from lawyer to lawyer.... Like I told u, at this point that is not much a lawyer can do for you now.... You should write uscis and inquire about your prima facie. I just did it a month ago.... They changed my status right away. Don't be afraid! U can also call them...

Hey guys! I havent checked the message board for a while and just read about some of you getting green cards already! Congratulations to all who have finally made it to the end of this very long journey.

I need opinions on my case to see what may be going on. I got my VAWA approved at the end of August and in the middle of September I applied for I485, I765, I131. My I765 was approved soon after and I got the EAD without a fingerprint. I went to the local immigration office for an infopass to ask about it and the IO said that the computer said that biometrics was ordered at the beginning of October but my EAD was issued a few days after the date he saw on the computer and I never received a biometrics letter anyway. I did have biometrics done in Nov of 2009 but the IO said that the biometrics is already expired. So I am not sure what the next step will be. Will they end up sending me a biometrics letter or will they schedule an interview without new biometrics? Has any of you gone through something similar? Also for everyone who had interviews already based on a new I485 how long did it take from the time you file the new I485 until you received an interview notice?

Please let me know what your thoughts are on this because I am very confused and so was the IO at the infopass...the more he looked at my file on the computer the less he understood what was going on...lol!

Ssisi10 like Impeace has mentioned you dont need a lawyer at this stage .All you need is actually write a letter to vermont.Some people get them and some not.Did you get any RFE.I remember when I filed i-360 didnt send letter of good moral conduct(police clearance) they send me RFE that I didnt make a prima facie when I sent that it took 21 days and I received my prima facie.I never heard from vermont for 6 months only to receive approval letter and surprising my vawa case online its still on RFE review saying you will be notified in 60 days even though was approved in august.Like we all have said these vawa cases can be tricky and each case is unique dont stress about the prima facie so much.And dont let that lawyer milk you for nothing.Relax and write a letter to vermont and wait for their reply.

Carla co ,you definately need new biometrics .Biometrics are only good for 15 months.I have heard of people getting EAD without biometrics.As for i-485 its a must that they do a criminal back ground ,have mine done within 30 days .Call uscis and request for an appointment letter to go have your biometrics done.Doubt it if they will send interview letter without you being cleared of criminal back ground.

I went to see a lawyer yesterday, and they charge $4,000 for VAWA application. That is insane. So I have decided to do it on my own. I have not technically started yet, and I have my AOS interview early December. Do you guys know whether I should go? Tell them I am applying for VAWA, and ask to put my I-485 on hold? In that case I will not lose my EAD? Is that true? I work two jobs and if I lose my work permit, I will be royally fu***d.

you dont need a lawyer for that...my prima facie extension it will expired soon and i just called Vermont yesterday and they allready send it today

Hey Jane you can do it by yourself. Make sure your statement describes not only the abuse but how you met and fell in love. Also, make sure all the dates match and gather as much proof as possible. You MUST go to the interview. (I did) otherwise they will star removal proceedings... Best of luck and welcome to the forum!

my rfc are about abuse , god faith , and residence . i send some of these documents before , by the way i have almost evidences they needed and about abuse i m gonna sent affidavit so i don't know what's will be division but i m hopefully that 's be good and fine.

i m sure i m approves

also in the bottom form of rfc writing after receive evidence minimum 14 days to proceeds form and if have not heard from uscis within 60 days you may contact the uscis national customer service center (ncsc) at 1-800-375-5283....
