Hello all vawa applicants,

I hope you all doing fine and please dont be anxious rather be patient .I never go to bed without checking on the vawa forum.This forum has a special place in my heart,I have learnt a lot from all of you and you gave me strength through your stories knowing I wasnt alone and that someone understood what I was going through .I understand the pain and everything else that each one of you is going through for I have been there .When I look back ,I am amazed at myself how I have managed to come through this far.All I can say,its been by the grace of God.He is so loving and faithful and he will never forsake us no matter what may come in our lives.

I have advice for those who have been told by USCIS that vermont is working on vawa cases/applications for year 2007.To be honest dont let this frustrate you ,I remember in june this year I had called USCIS vermont checking on my vawa case was told that Vermont center was working on vawa cases for December 2010.How come they have gone 4 years backwards? This doesnt sound right,for your own information the people that answer USCIS 1800 number are customer service representatives ,they dont know any info they will tell you whatever comes in there mind so you wont call again.Also vawa applicants are not told any information over the phone .I remember when I used to call,2 weeks later would receive paper mail asking if I called Uscis vermont center to inquire about my case and if so they wanted me to type a letter with my address and signature .For security reasons they dont give info over the phone.If there working on 2007 cases why did I get approved having applied january 2011?Dont listen or believe to everything they tell you over the phone.Approvals are still a mistery to me ,people get approved different times each case is different so cheer up ,be patient and soon it shall be over .Congratulations to those who have been approved and those that are waiting your season is coming .Not lets all smile knowing it shall be well.

This very interesting. Still haven't heard whether my 485 is approved after the interview. But the National Benefits Center sent me a biometrics appointment a day after I my VAWA interview. I received the appointment letter today asking me to take my biometrics again in 3 weeks. My current 485 is originally filed based on my spouse's 130 but I somehow was able to have it linked to my approved 360. I have taken a biometrics about 1.5 year ago. Do you guys know how long will biometrics be in effect? I consider this a good sign.

hi inpeace , on 28 October i got e-mail from uscis and i 'm waiting for letter .when i revived i will said . and about you i think you must revived some news between 40 - 50 days after renew perima face maybe sooner . i hoop ...good luck

in june 2011 i got a letter for RFE....it was about the abused...and other things that i send it already...they asked me again about...bills together...insurance...etc

i responde back in august 2011 and i still waiting for decision...today i did 2 months from the date i submit the request of evidence....still waiting

OMG!

After sending an email to the field director and the district director in my local office, last week. Today I got a call from my local office asking me when can I come for I-485 interview. I was surprised, and I told him that I can come today and he said am busy today but tomorrow will be fine.

So interview date set Nov 02, 9am.

However, I asked what should I bring since i don't have the letter, he said just bring all original documents, birth certificate, and passport that is. Thank God everything is handy.

Hello Tuckhoe8 dont worry it is a normal procedure.Finger prints are valid for a certain time ,If I not mistaken there valid for 15 months which is a year 3 months.So if you did them that long posibility of you having them done is there .Its nothing to worry about there doing another criminal back ground check.

I think it is normal that they send you a biometric as ladyg explained.

What i would suggest is that you go to your biometrics office, around 2 or 3pm. Instead of waiting for the scheduled date. This will make the process faster. I did walk-up biometrics before and all they asked for was the letter and ID. My scheduled date was a month away and they allowed me...........

I applied for VAWA August 2010 and got an RFE in May 2011, responded on 8/12/11 and still waiting for a decision. Planing on waiting this week and then calling on Friday, 11/4/11.
