Lucy, are you trying to link your old I 485 or did you apply for a new one?

You do not need to wait for vawa approval to apply for 485, they can be filed Concurrently...

if you haven't filed yet you will have to wait 4/5 months for the i485 interview...

Hello Julieta ,you dont have to pay another $380 for a lost EAD .Also if you had filed i-485 concurrently with i-765 you aint supposed to pay for i-765.Something similar happend to my EAD .USCIS told me to re-apply for a new one but never paid ,but it will take another 3 months processing time. Its like starting all over again.

Lucymiss you need to contact USCIS so they can schedule appointment for your biometrics.

Impeace have you heard anything about your case since requesting extension of prima facie.Hang in there you will be approved soon ,you have come a long way and all the best.

I went to interview myself this week. After waiting for more than an hour, I was called. The officer in charge asked for marriage license, divorce filing, order of protection, birth cert, I-94. Then the officer asked questions on 485 then form. Then comes “Yes/No” questions. In the end, the officer hand me a sheet which has the following item checked:

"Your case is being held for file review in order to prepare a decision. You will be advised by mail as to a decision on your application. No additional information is necessary from you at this time, however, if upon further review, additional information or evidence is required, you will receive a notice in mail. Please respond to any request in a timely manner. Failure to do so will result in denial of your application. Please allow 60 days from today's date before making an inquiry on your case."

The officer didn’t tell me whether I am approved/or not approved but told me that I should get correspondence in the mail in less than 60 days.

I am hoping for the best, after what I have been through. If anyone know whether this is an approval, or receive the same thing after the interview, let me know. Good luck everyone. Thanks.

Tuckhoe8 I hope you doing good ,dont despair it shall be well.I have read on VJ but cant remember which forum different people where told and given the same letter but ended up being approved within days and some the same day later after interview. From what I have read most IO who gives such letters may be waiting on thier supervisors to give them authority to approve. Some IO from what I have read no nothing about VAWA.
