1. Congrats to everyone that gets approved. I wish you the best.

2. After 20 days of mailing my new I-485 application based on approved I360, I received this automated message for my Old I-485. It looks like an interview notice is being mailed to me. Why are they scheduling this at National Benefits Center?

Testing and Interview

On September 19, 2011, we mailed you an appointment notice for an interview for October xx, 2011, at NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER. Please follow the instructions on the notice. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

If your case status indicates that you are currently in this step, you have either been scheduled for an interview or are in line to be scheduled for an interview. The amount of time your application will remain in this step will vary by office and is largely determined by the number of cases ahead of yours. The interview notice will have specifics about time, location and anything you will need to bring to your interview. If your application remains pending beyond our normal processing times (as shown below) please contact our national customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

Please note that not every application/applicant will require an interview. In some instances, an interview is required by regulation and others an interview is requested because USCIS has determined that this is the most efficient means to determine eligibility. For a naturalization application the interview will include your taking the required English and/or Civics tests (unless exempt or waived).

Tuck, congrats on your interview notice. Don't worry I got the same notice, but the actual letter came for interview at my local office. You will be okay. Give thanks to God that we all are making progress in this long journey.

Myjay, how are you? I was concerned about you. Any news yet on your application???

Hi blessedwoman,

I am still doing the waiting game...my lawyer sent my RFE about 2 weeks ago. All I can do now is wait and pray. I can't wait for this to be over, it's been 13 months already for me since I filed my petition, and I only filed the i-360, so I have no work permit. The good thing is that I am now back in school and get financial aid with my prima facie, so that keeps me busy and not 200% focused on my petition. How are you doing as well? I haven't been on the site for quite some time and I have lost touch with a lot of things here. But hope you are well. :)
