Re: Child Protective Services. Explain the following to current guardian: it seems scary, but please don't get overly emotional. Be calm and co-operative, and the experience will be better for the child. Usually, they will want parent(s) to follow some training, counseling. Again, co-operate fully. If you do everything in nice, friendly manner - you may actually benefit from their intervention. You may request and receive preventive services

I'm so worried my wife just attacked me the other day as we speak I have scratches on my face and arm and back and side of my stomach.. I didn't call the police because my wife has a baby and I didn't want the baby to go in the system since his dad wants nothing to do with him and my wife's family too.. hi Macbook:

i got the same kind of "Notice of Action" letter from VSC on July 14th 2012, they asked my wife's US birth certificate, you can find it from www.vitalcheck.com, you just need

put in your wife's real name, pay $30 from visa or master card, then they will mail your wife's US birth certificate to you by UPS in three days time. I mailed my wife's US birth

certificate to NBC supervisor last May, it is so strange VSC asked me for that again, but I replied them politely.

about your marriage, VSC want you find more US citizens witness who can sent their reference letter for you to show your good moral character, try to find your good US citizen

friends to write reference letters for you, I got two US citizen reference letters for me, one is my best friend, another is my former boss senior manager from New York life company

I do appreciate for their help for life, they are really friends in need is friends indeed!

you will get your GC soon, God will bless you.

I know it wasn't his child. He still cared that child may be removed, if parent is arrested. I wanted everyone to know (what no one told me BEFORE it happened to me): yes, it's traumatic for everyone. But if the guardian knows to be calm and co-operate fully, the experience will be less painful. And in the end - the guardian should turn it around, and request preventive services. I know that VAWA applicant will be in adversarial position with the parent - but he should still find a way (via other relatives) to convey the calming message to alleviate child's dilemma

singledad what are you talking about?. Czzr has to protect himself in first place. It's not his child.

Approved I-360 in family court has not much relevance. The custody order will depend heavily on the facts and proof of abuse, state laws and how much non-custodian parents want to be involved. Generally, most of the states allow restrictions on non-custodian parents residential and visitation if good proof of domestic violence is presented to them. One can ask for restrictions on abusive parent depending upon the severity of the abuse and state laws. Such as sole physical/legal custody with non-custodian residential/visitation time; transitional phase with supervision and therapy before unrestricted residential time for non-custodian; supervised visitations only etc. One can ask for termination of parental rights under certain circumstances in some states too. The custody will also depend heavily upon how much the other party and you want them to be involved with the child and if you two can amiably make decision with each other or not.
