Hey Sandranj my friend sent the letter to vsc asking for expedite of her case with a copy of the notice of hearing for next month (she is in removal). It is suppose to get to vsc by tuesday, she wanna know how long does it take to get a response if the are gonna expedite or not. Her lawyer has decided to stay on the case (he is such a waste). She knows they are gonna send the decision to her attorney but just wanna know how long does the process take. Thanks

Hi SingleDad2usc:

I think you are right, but engineers only got 10 yrs good life in the state, this is from Mike, my friend who has worked in Motorola research center for 10 yrs and got laid off in 2008, then house foreclosure, divorced,he went down to sleep in his own Honda accord, which has been stolen eventually, although he graduated with honor from University of Wisconsin. My former college classmate who graduated from Columbia university, make $90 per year salary in LA, after tax only got $65k, still laid off for no reason. here in Microsoft they would rather hire foreign Engineers from China and India, pay them $30k per year for three years with L-1 Visa, they donot hire US engineers with $80k per year.

I see enough tear from Engineers In the state, in my experience, those California, Chicago companies only gave me opportunities to work in far east countries, the salary is $70k per year with only 14 days paid holiday to come back the state, even no chance to work in New Zealand, because NZ got 6.3% unemployee rate. I know two places need engineers most, one is on fishing boat in Alaska, another is in the US army. That is why I give myself plan B, learn theology, work as priest, earn that $70k per year salary and keep alive, so do keep my wife alive.

14 months and counting... :crying: completely at loss and feels helpless

12 months for me..this is just so annoying I think I am gonna contact my state/congress person I think we as a people need to start taking a stand if we flock them with letters hopefully something will happen than just sitting here while the ppl at vsc does nothing to overcome the workload. Vsc has only done two weeks of work since last September according to the processing time which I know is not reliable.

Good luck everyone
