Hello, Sandranj, maybe you can help and answer my question, im not sure what to do at this point?

Hi, guys, im new on this forum. hopefully somebody can answer my question. i filed VAWA december 2011, and still no news or RFEs. well, i thought we filed i-485 and i-765 concurrently so started getting worried and asking my lawyer about my work permit only to find out that both i-485 and i-765 were temporarily rejected back in january because there wasn't an immigrant visa available immediately, and now we have to wait for i-360 approval and then send those again (thats what my lawyer told me). i did have an i-130 approved back in 2005 i think but had to wait to adjust my status since my husband is an LPR and not a citizen, my priority date became current a couple years ago but i never got to file an adjustment since he abused me and i left him. so now im wondering what am i supposed to do, just wait for vawa approval and then file i-765 and i-485 or can i try to sent them in right now again with the letter asking to recapture my priority date from an approved I-130? thank you very much for your advice

lorphelpme tell your friend if she decides to send to USCIS a letter to expedite she must provide a written explanation why the application needs to be expedited. Tell her to submit documents showing her next hearing. She should write “EXPEDITE REQUEST” at the top of her letter. Every time an individual call the Vawa Unit she/he must leave name,phone number and case number ok.

HI guys! I see that many of you have received prima facie extensions. How did you request it? Is there a special form? what documents do I need to send? My prima facie will expire next month so I think I should request an extension now. Thanks in advance and good luck to everybody.

Hi hopeful send a letter to vsc ATTN vawa unit and put requesting renewal of prima facie include you case number in the letter and also send a copy of your prima facie.the address for vsc is at the bottom of your prima facie. Good luck I just did it and received mine a week ago

Sandranj wat are the chances for her to be expedited for that reason.is it 50/50 or highly likely. Thanks

I read somewhere that uscis reached the max for u visas for fiscal yr 2012 of course they are still accepting applications for u visas but will only start back issuing them when the next fiscal yr begin which is October 1st 2012. Am thinking that's for the actual GC and not for approvals

lorphelpme I saw several people they had their VAWA expedited due the hearing, but I saw several they denied as well. It's a bit unpredictable.

There is annual cap for U visas(10,000), but not cap for green card.

Thanks Sandranj very much appreciated.but those cases that was expedited did all get approved

I think that's probably the norm I just got my 3 rd too and it's for 60 days as well I did ask that same question here and someone said from the 3rd one and counting they are all 60 days Amd I think that person either got 4 or 5 of them. Good luck when did u file vawa

I think we spoke about that before about u contacting g uscis because u applied in April and they are processing June.did u write vsc? Call the hotline? Do u have an attorney?

To speed up the process for whatever you are applying for. But not everyone is eligible. Hope this helps

I have attorney and he wrote letter asking what is going on in June but I never got anything from VSC. Also he told me that I cant call VSC because they wont talk to me when i have attorney.

When i called and left my information,they called me back and said they cant talk to me because they can only talk to my

attorney. My attorney sent them an email, vsc replied and said they were working on june 2011 applications.

Sandra ... why is it that i haven't gotten no transfer on my i485 in 4 months? WTH!! not one single transfer
