Congrates Impeace on your work permit renewal .Still waiting mine that I returned july the 6th 2011 after I had an apporved one but had a typo error.Its been a month and september it will be 2 months no news about EAD.I am happy for you

hey ladyg,u ave to get a new one done.i think everyone on this vawa forum did.i also had one done in ma country,but was told by my lawyer to ave a new one done

Yulisa thank you ,today I called a couple of places that are listed by uscis in my area.Had to shop around damn expensive but I found some that where reasonable.I also called uscis they say I cant send them now unless they issue RFE so will just do in advance.

nov 04 Went to interview by myself, told officer will aplly for vawa

11/04 I485 touched (still on initial review)

11/21 officer called lawyer about the I485 (btw: really nice IO)

12/10 apply for VAWA, without background check

12/11 lawyer drop off a copy of I360 for the IO

12/15 Prima faice received

12/18 sent background check, also sent a letter to IO asking to expedite the I485 to vermont to be linked with I360

12/31 I360 touched

08/04 Apply for EAD renew

08/18 receive NOA

08/26 new card ordered

08/31 new card ordered (again??)

09/01 notice of approval of I765... (where is my VAWA approval??? God help me...)

09/03 EAD arrived in the mail!! ufa!

10/03 Sent letter to renew prima facie and inquire about vawa status.

10/05 I360 touched- changed to "Request for evidence review" (WTH????)

11/27 Recieved prima facie extension

11/30 VAWA APPROVED!!!! yupiiiiiiiiiiiiii12/04 I360 Touched

12/22 Interview noticed for 01/23/12

12/26 Interview canceled by USCIS

12/31 New interview notice for 01/30/12

Ok then,u just do it,in case u go for the interview and they ask for it,yes i know its really expensive.gud luck

Today I saw on the website that they approved my EAD renew... Thank God, it took only 20 days. Hopefully I will receive in the mail soon... :star:

Congratulations Inpeace :dance: :dance: :dance: I told you that it would take less than 30days. Sit tight, your I360 approval is on the way. Way to go, lots of great news :thumbs: :thumbs:

Folks: This might not be an appropriate place to ask, But I finally muster the will to start a divorce. Could anyone share with me if you filed your divorce contested or uncontested. How do you find your lawyer? no kids and not a lot of shared property in my case.

Tuck, congrats on having the strength to file for a divorce. I just filed mine 3 weeks ago, he was served the papers in another state, but he has not contested it, the date has passed, so it has become uncontested. We have no kids, and after more than a year of abandonment, we have no assets to share. I did not use any attorney. Go to the court services office, they will help you fill out the papers, but they cannot advise you about a course of action. If he is contesting then you may need a lawyer.

Lady G, I got no letter or updates since my file has been transfered.....I'm running out of patience......I'm hoping for the best....

Hello everyone here is my situacion maybe somebody can help me.. I sent my VAWA case USCIS recieved on march 25 2011.. I have the I 797 after 04/08/2011 a touched but nothing else.. I called USCIS and they told me to write a letter or getting an infopass. Please any advise !!!! I am desperate ... Ssisi

Your question isnt clear what are you trying to find out? the processing time or the procedure....After you recieve your receipt that they recieved your application if you submitted all that is required they will send you a prima facie.Then from there you have to wait it takes a couple of months depending on your case and the information you submitted ,sometimes USCIS will ask for RFE (request for evidence) sometimes not if all is clear..according to USCIS vawa processing time is 5 months again like I said sometimes it goes beyond that like mine took 7 months to be approved.Wishing all the best and take heart ,the process is stressing dont mean to scare just be prepared and be patient.

Thanks ladyg I am desperate big time...I do not even have the prima facie yet...I called they told me to write a letter asking about the case.. I got infopass for the 09/12/2011.., let's see what happens I scare like crazy .. Thanks again

Today there was another update on my i765 that they have approved my application. The weirdest thing is that I didn't do any biometrics...

Hello Kymber22 ,how are you and how is it going any news? I still believe that you will recieve your approval letter for vawa since your i 485 was transferred to NBC ,my vawa online hasnt changed even though it has been approval says review to RFE that was sent by me and recieved by them.
