11 months and counting ughh...today I sent my renewal for my prima facie hopefully the send me an approval and not my third prima facie.

This wait is becoming ughh

not only you but also all guys that are pending, be approval i hopefully . doesn't matter how many perima received. it important the end of story you or every body are pending be approval .

issued 5th perima for me, you know 5th, be paint and never give up. that's it buddy

when u go to police department,to get a police clearance, is it given at the same day? how much i am going to pay for it,and does it need social security number, and are they also asking what is the reason im needing that clearance? do they also run fingerprints?thanks!!!

Dont think so mine took two weeks paid about 30/35

lloydgc USCIS is really but REALLY messy regarding letters/informations they receive there.I recommend you to set up an infopass appointment.I saw several cases they didn't update the informations received even after second or third letters.

Hi SandraNJ,

Could you please advise me on what to do? I filled for EAD in May based on a pending I-485. I filled that through marriage. It was closed and they reopened it after I filed I-360 in April 2011. The I-360 was approved in June 2012 but I filed for the EAD in May based on the pending I-485. USCIS sent me a request for Evidence July 3rd and I responded to it. I called them Thursday the 19th to expedite and they sent me a letter that I have to request the expedite in writing (I guess due of the sensitivity on my I-360 case). I exactly that this past Thursday July 26th 2012. I expressed it and they signed for it. I requested my EAD to be expedited based on extreme financial hardship and a job offer. I included a letter from my gas company stating they’ll shut of my electric, my electric bill, a notarized letter from my roommate that he’ll be kicking me out for non-payment and a personal letter including a letter including the offer letter from my the company that will be hiring me. I called my congressman’s office and they’re helping me but do you think they’ll reject their help because this is a VAWA case? Do you think they’ll even approved it because I filled it based on the old I-485? Do I have to file another I-485? I went to my local immigration office for help this morning and I left there crying because the woman in charge was very rude and nasty. She was of no help to me. I’m so messed up right now because I’m suppose to start this new job August 6th. Next week. I don’t know what to do. Please advise if you can.

lloydgc my friend submitted vawa and she filed AR11 online changing her address , she called 1800 to confirm they said Vawa is confidential and they could not confirm if her address was updated or not , can you believe that?, she set up an appoutment with infopass and they said IT WASN'T UPDATED.Despite she sent AR form they didnt put in their system her new address,but they updated after the infopass appointment.I suggest you set up an appoitment with infopass.

Godisalive if your I-485 was reopened it means you will attend interview based in the form I-485 that you submitted .Did USCIS reopen the I-485 for sure???? They wont reject because is regarding a Vawa case,all cases with USCIS you can ask to expedite.I am just not sure if your I-485 was reopened, if it was then you still can get EAD based in the form I-485.Now you have just to wait.Good luck.

Oh THANKS a lot for this valuable information. i want to set up an info pass but i'm scared they can arrest me because i am overstayed. i did file i 485 though and i have a receipt. but i don't have any valid identification, not even a passport. do you think i should still go there to the infopass?

When i had to change address with USCIS (I-360, I-485) I did it online. Few days later got letter saying that they are not confirming or denied that I have application pending, but if I do address was not changed due to sensitivity of the matter. In order to change address my attorney and I had to write letter with my signature asking to change my address and send it to VSC Attention VAWA unit. In that letter I also asked what is going on with my case. Since then (about a month ago) I did not receive ANY respond or letter from VSC, not even a touch. :devil:

Now I'm going creasy and just called my attorney who just told me that we have to wait and there is nothing that he can do.

I'm in GREAT depression and have huge anxiety. Have not slept over two days ( maybe 3 hours total) and nobody seems to care or wanna do anything. :wacko:

I don't and can't understand why are they doing this to me?! :unsure:

lloydgc they won't arrest you, you submitted form I-360 then you are fine now,don't worry about it. Did you get the prima facie? You need to have some identification To show them when you get there,without any identification they won't allow you to enter.
