I went to an infopass appointment this morning and was told the old 485 is still pending at NBC. Thus it has not been linked.

I mailed a new 485 application based on approved 360 with a fee-waiver request today. Wish me good luck. Special thanks to murid and blessedwomen for your advice.

My case was approved!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy!!!!

Tuckahoe8, thank you. However, you should have requested the local office to send your approved I360 to be linked with your old I485 at the NBC. That was what I did. Your new application for I485 will take up to 5 months to be processed. This morning I received notice that I am schedule for interview October xxx, 2011 (first week)at my local office. I literally jump for joy. So, you can still use your old I485, you just have to prodd them a little.

The local IO is not helpful. He told me to withdraw the old 485 before filing a new one and I cannot link the old 485 with 360. He might not understand VAWA procedures. I thought I can try to write a request to NBC asking for linking the two but again, there is no guarantees because there is no standard procedure to follow, so it might be a waste of time.

In my case I-130 is never approved. My files are not in the local office. I am more like murid's situation. I guess my circumstance is different from you.

Is your lawyer gonna go with you to the interview?

Hopeful-2011, I did not get anything... I filed end of November and had absolutely no touches, rfes or anything...just the approval. My online portfolio on the USCIS went from "Initial Review" to "Post Decision Activity" with nothing in between.

Congrats on your interview. Like tuck said local office has different information when it comes to VAWA the only thing I regret is not filling a new i485 when I filed my i360. I was plainly told that they cannot by law link my old i485 with my i360 approval the only thing they do was transfer my priority date which I don't need because I dont have to wait for a visa number to available. My i130 was never approved that was another reason too which made it impossible for them to linked the old i485.

Hello Yulisa ,I hope you doing fine .I have a quick question or anyone who can help me who had an experience .My case was transferred to a uscis office after being transferred from national benefits center and from what I have read must be getting a letter for interview soon.Trying to put my documents together here is the question do i need to under go medical exam ,did they ask you for that ? Just asking so that I can find a doctor near me that USCIS has listed in my area and do the medical exams in time .So that I dont stress and panic when the interview letter comes.Thank you

hi ladyg,when u first filed for the i360 and i485 did u go for medical exams?if yes,u dont ave to do it again.if no.u ave to go and ave it done as soon as possible.u will ave ur interview date soon.

Today I saw on the website that they approved my EAD renew... Thank God, it took only 20 days. Hopefully I will receive in the mail soon...

Congrates Impeace on your work permit renewal .Still waiting mine that I returned july the 6th 2011 after I had an apporved one but had a typo error.Its been a month and september it will be 2 months no news about EAD.I am happy for you

Yulisa thank you for taking time to reply .I am a little bit confused on the i-693 its says it I came as a K1 visa holder which I did ,dont need medicals had them back in my country as it was part of K1 visa process bt its been almost 4 yrs since I came to the use unless iam required to submit new one.What do yo think once more thank you .

Folks: This might not be an appropriate place to ask, But I finally muster the will to start a divorce. Could anyone share with me if you filed your divorce contested or uncontested. How do you find your lawyer? no kids and not a lot of shared property in my case.
