Memes whats DOJ background check and how can I get it? How much it cost ? How long it takes to get it? Sorry tons a question

Mine took about 3 weeks but several attempts because they use the wrong code. When you go to a fingerprint location make sure you tell them It's for immigration visa they will know the proper coding.

If your in Cali you can use the form on the link below. DOJ gave it to me with the corect code. Some places will request you take it to the location prefilled out.

The cost varies by location and state. Mine was 54 (I think... Very long ago now)

ok now I am worried. My lawyer did not ask me to send the police clearance or anything. I am afraid of them asking me for RFE because of it...what are the chances??? Should I do it and send it to them without them asking or should i wait and see????

Thanks in advance...

Proof of "good moral character" is required so you will need a police report or some type of proof. You will probably receive a RFE but do not send anything until USCIS asks for it.

Because they kept processing my report under the wrong code my attorney and I prepared the response ahead of time.

Hi Maryhoney87,

Hate to say it but most cases get an RFE. At least its a reminder they are looking into our cases. My motto was hope for the best and expect the worst.

hey StillAlive

glad to know God is listening to you and good things are and will be coming for us all,.. just hang in, i'm sure ur approval is on its way..

something curious though for my case,.. i'm just so tired,. it's bad enough that i have to suffer all type of abuse, but even the little things are pulling the life out of me,.. so my ex evil wife not only showed me the definition of cruelty but she went as far as frauding to obtain the divorce in my back. she pretty much filed for divorce, redirected the mail to some of her friend address and signed all the paperworks forging my signature. that's how she obtained the divorce,..

i filed my vawa case 3 weeks ago and so far i haven't received any receipt. i'm starting to wonder if this is something normal? anyone experienced such a delay before? now getting a noa is more like passing an exam,.. really weird this usciss tho.. btw i asked my lawyer n he keep asking me to wait...

stressing!!!
