It is now $1070 for both. One check is fine.

Minor point. It's $1070 for the I-485 and biometrics. The I-765 is free when concurrently filed with the I-485.

So, do you write two seperate checks ($985 and $85) or one check for $1,070?

One check is fine. We did it with just one check, no problem. I'm pretty positive that 2 separate checks would be fine as well, just that the "one check" is so much easier.

This nitpicking is silly. The OP got their answer and this is creating unnecessary confusion.

Excuse me? I'm confused on how this became "nitpicking"! I was just clarifying where the $1070 came from! I'm clueless on how my post became how you supposedly feel "nitpicking". If you double check the thread, you wouldn't see exactly where the breakdown of the total fee was. I just added and made it a point that the total fee was broken down into detail. I'm sorry if my clean intention of trying to help created CONFUSION to anybody nor has it offended anyone. Just trying to help. (F)

Not really. I-485 is $1070, EAD and AP can be filed at the same time and the fee for the EAD and AP would be waived. The fee is not "for both". I understand you feel this is nitpicky but some people have asked whether this means they get a lower fee if they omit either EAD or AP, the answer is no because they are not INCLUDED in the fee, their fee is waived if you file them together.

Minor point. It's $1070 for the I-485 and biometrics. The I-765 is free when concurrently filed with the I-485.

Minor point :P The fee is "waived" they are not "free" when filed with AOS.. for the reasons I mention above, "waived" is better than "free" or "included"
