haha yeah...AOS is kinda crazy. It's much less intimidating than it looks. just get all the applications together, binder clip them. fill 'em out when you're ready. That's what I did.

That's my list!

---

This and more in the AOS forum :)

This doesn't look half bad, actually. The worst part seems to be the check. UGH. Oh, well. I knew it was coming... but with my Morocco salary, that's a full month's work!

Anyway... hope you all are doing well! Did you have any problems getting the Civil Surgeon to fill out the form? How much did that cost you, if I may ask? We have the DS-3025...

UGH. I'm stressin' about the interview, truth be told. Life is crazy right now. Just...crazy.

<3, luck, and best wishes to all of you!

I'm not at AOS stage yet, I'm just preparing for it. I'm pretty sure my fiance said he didn't know if he'd had chicken pox so I think we will have to find a civil surgeon unfortunately. Ugh. Hoping to find one that will just do the last shot he needs.

Ohh sorry you mean for the Adjustment of Status, I havent been thinking that far ahead, I guess I better start. Don't have a clue how we will afford it but we'll find a way, they really don't make it easy on us do they? with all these fee's and trying to plan a wedding, also I will be lucky if I find a flight for myself and my two children for under $2500 *sigh*

Hi! I would just like to update everyone on our progress. We had our interview last June 10th, and passed :D

Got my visa on hand last June 23, and booked my flight to LAX on July 17.

It is true what they say that time does fly when you get your NOA2. I'm in shock and so happy at how far this thread have gone! I was reading back on the previous thread on how we were patiently and kinda impatiently waiting for our NOA2's, but now, it seems everyones progressing really well! To those who haven't gotten their NOA2 yet, you're still in our prayers.

Good luck everyone and thank you! :D

HAPPY 4th JULY EVERYONE!

this day 235 years ago the USA told the British to ####### off. On July the 4th 2011, they asked THIS limey to come over to their Embassy for an interview!!

Hooray, so pleased. 26th august, 8.30. I'll be counting the seconds. Though I thought I had all my documents sorted, it turns out the standard issue square British birth certificate isn't enough, they need the one with your parents' names on it and all the rest of it which is not offered unless specially requested by your parents at the time of register.

Tip for anyone else having to do this from England or Wales - order it with the district your birth was registered, not the main General Register Office. it's cheaper, and it's much quicker (approx. 4 days standard as opposed to 15 working days standard with the General Register Office)

Now get ready for fireworks!!

x

Hi Jade! Have you tried Priceline yet? Bid on your flights and see what you get.

You might like LV and some of the venues there are really very nice. Have either of you checked out the Las Vegas weddings (they have reasonable prices on their packages at some of the hotels). Also, yes you can get married in a different town, or city but... NOT a DIFFERENT COUNTRY OF RESIDENCE for your USC Fiance! You as the beneficiary only have a visa for one entry to the US. And you know, the K1 is for marriage within the US after 90 days of POE; ( Did you mean 'county'?) You can get married in a different county inside the USA (a region of the state).

Hope that helps and congratulations on either place you marry!

hi Mari

oh no i probably used the word "Country" as in EU context. but what i meant was States within the US. so for example we can go and get married in NY or PA or any other state? is this normal to wait in line for 2-3 months (at limits of 90 days) to get married? or its just Paterson... where can i get less lines in East coast? anyone have any info about this...

thank you
