I think you can totally wait. We are... We just have the forms and know what to expect so we can send off ASAP. Good to know what's coming so you can cut your time in half when it comes time to file.

Hi Dizzy,

Thanks for your input, that helps a lot! Ya I think we're just gonna wait til after we're married to get it all ready and such. So much more to think about and organize before our wedding! Thanks again! Also YAYAYAYA!! Glad to hear your man is home with you in the States! All the best!

With love to you both,

You be safe Miss Bec!!! Say Hello to Dipu (the future "mr Bec" lol )

Can't wait to hear the GREAT NEWS!

Love,

Mari

Update: I'm very happy to see all the "LOVE" in the Decemberite Family and all the great news around both this thread and the AOS DECEMBERITE THREAD TOO.... odd that when I finally got to read it that 'some people' really didn't get the community concept and had to blurt out ... lol. Loved what Bec wrote btw.

K's father is still being cared for, so we'll see and keep praying he'll be home soon. I wish I was there to help and it's very frustrating for me being here. I'm still looking for flights and my schedule to go. It's been such a mixed bag of emotions for he and I. Both of us full of tears at times but really trying to keep a positive spirit. Talk about testing! And here I thought while he was on base with limited fone signals and no internet was testing!!!

I have been really working on my clinic so it's up and running strongly (it's still considered 'new'). This has kept me pretty busy (mentally and emotionally it distracts me for a while). Yet, I have found sometimes it's not easy for me to log into VJ as often as I'd like which I want you all to know, I am missing you!!!!!!!!

I know you all will keep this DECEMBERITE FAMILY thread positive, supportive and fun.... just like it started.

I luv ya DECEMBERITE [AOS 2010] FAMILY,

Mari

Hey guys,

My fiancee has her interview on Aug 3. She has paid the interview fees and submitted all her documents. However, she has not received a confirmation email or appointment letter. Also, I she has not received any other packets from the embassy. What are we supposed to do?

I have heard a lot of people mention packet 4. What is packet 4? What does it contain? and how is this different from packet 3?

Also, she has been stressing a lot about the interview. I was wondering if anyone has a "Frequently asked questions" list for interview questions.

Thank you,

-Sarfaraz

In our case, Packet 4 is what the consulate sent my fiancee after they received her filled out Packet 3 forms. Packet 4 has more forms that your fiancee needs to fill out. It also gives her an interview date and instructions for medical exam in our case. In our case, the consulate has a link at their website to all the forms in Packet 3 and Packet 4. You might want to look at your consulate's website for more information specific to that consulate or embassy.

I second what BobbyA said. Definitely check in with your local consulate. What forms did you send in? Were they forms that the embassy directed you to send in anything? How do you know her interview is August 3rd if they have not communicated with you?

Clothes, a few household things... The one issue is that my mom gave me a hope chest (that my grandpa made for her when she was getting married, it used to be their old tv/radio combo! haha) which is relatively heavy already. We ended up deciding that Blake will fly up here and we'll use my parents' minivan to ROAD TRIP my stuff down to Atlanta. Then when my parents come down to see us get married at the courthouse they'll drive it back up. VERY exciting! It makes the most sense and is the most economical, shipping things is CRAZY expensive imo.
