Congrats Marcia and Danny! It was about time.

I got a letter from the embassy today. I thought it was packet 3 but it turns out to be something of an RFE, requesting evidence of my Canadian citizenship. I sent them what I could just now, hopefully it is enough. I am getting pretty tired of RFEs though. :bonk:

It took me a bit by surprise for sure. Not so much that they would request evidence of my citizenship (born in another country) but that it was sent out before Packet 3. I guess they just wanted to make sure my case was in order.

YEAH MARCIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now my sweet friend , all you have to do is prep your packet 3 (and you can print that off your embassy website to start drafting up the information). MAKE 4- 6 final copies because some of the DS forms are required in duplicate as per instructions. Be sure to see your embassy specifics!!!

Marcia, I want to acknowledge you for your patience through this entire process... I know all too well that distance and time are emotionally & mentally taxing! In fact, I'm sure we all can relate to this. But you're so good spirited that if anyone deserves to get moved through NVC quickly, it's you.

Love you,

Mari

LOL lol........ omg... lol why my slippah? I'm so happy to see all the approvals around our Decemberite Family.

WOO HOO!!! Look at us go!!!!!!!!!!!

Now update: K's Baba still in hospital and seems to be stable at present. We keep good spirits but it's been very hard on K as 6 of his Turkish mates got married the past week. Only one of them married a Turkish girl the rest, were AMERICAN. So I think he's feeling left out and I can't say I blame him for the heartache (both of ours). I always tell him, "this day your friend marries... I'm marry you too this day in my heart."

That's it for now! I'm still looking for flights and working.

Love to all,

Mari

Just noticed I quoted you the wrong way. Stupid iPad!!

Oh, Mari...

I'm so sorry to hear that! Although I think that day will be here before you know it, it doesn't make it any easier right now. I cant imagine losing one of my parents especially right now so I can appreciate how much stress Kadir personally must be under and then the conflict of feelings you must be under. I pray that these few months go by quickly for you and that you will be in each others arms soon.

Have you guys considered going through with the interview process now? Your visa is good for 6 months once you have it. Might as well just get it out of the way.

Xo

Yeah we're def following through but didn't put any dates on our timeline. You're such a good friend to me and I really appreciate every note you write me! I love ya Dizzy - Ga- Lizzy.... you'll always be in my heart.

Mari
