well, I can sleep again. Jenie Bee has completed her interview and the visa has been approved!! :rofl::dance: WOW!! I don't know what to say!! Dizzy can you please send me the link for our AOS thread I managed to lose it... :bonk:

Ok, off to shop for a plane ticket.. :dancing:

Ohh sorry you mean for the Adjustment of Status, I havent been thinking that far ahead, I guess I better start. Don't have a clue how we will afford it but we'll find a way, they really don't make it easy on us do they? with all these fee's and trying to plan a wedding, also I will be lucky if I find a flight for myself and my two children for under $2500 *sigh*

Ditto on the wedding planning and AOS fees ;) But if we can make it through the K1 visa process ANYTHING is possible :D

haha yeah...AOS is kinda crazy. It's much less intimidating than it looks. just get all the applications together, binder clip them. fill 'em out when you're ready. That's what I did.

I'll jump right on it. AOS get ready for the Decemberites. :thumbs: Looking forward to the AOS thread move.

The Delhi embassy finally published it's July interview schedule...no appointment for us :cry:

I hope we get an early August date and that they let us know soon...I just can't stand not knowing! Plus, I need to make travel arrangements. Plus, I haven't seen Dipu since January. :cry:

At least his medical is done and the final packet of ongoing relationship stuff was DHL'd yesterday. And, I had a bridal shower two weekends ago, so I guess I'll just try to enjoy the new patio furniture without him.

After the RFE we moved the wedding date until September 10th, Jenie Bee will arrive at POE (Portland) Saturday August 13th. This will make for a relaxing non-rushed event. This also will allow Jenie Bee to do more of the wedding planning (seriously would you want Rex planning your wedding?) I have to say that when Jenie Bee called I was fearing the worst, she works from 8:00 PM to 5:30 AM and her request for the night off was denied so after work she had to rush to the Embassy (it's 30 mins to an hour from her work). When she called her voice sounded so tired, yep worst case scenario for sure, then came the giggling probably due to I had just fallen hard into a surprise trap!! :bonk: The interview sounded odd, no smiling, no joking, and the lions share of the questions revolved around my previous marriage, dates, kids, etc.. Oh well, visa approved, flight secured, all is good. :dance: Next week I will get serious about working on AOS...

So I got a letter from the consulate asking me for four things, all of which I included in my original packet 3 (including the photos, and you guys remember me going on about the size of the photos!). I tried to call Montreal but of course they don't speak with you on the phone, and when I emailed them it said they would get back to me within TWO WEEKS. I'm very frustrated because I don't know what happened that either these things are missing from my package now (and I KNOW we put them in, I checked that thing a dozen times) or that they want doubles.

It's making me very upset because I worked so hard on that packet 3 (and everything else) and now I have to redo things with no explanation whatsoever. I am already stressed out that I have to go to Montreal for my medical on friday, which means bloodwork (I'm very needle-phobic), so this is not helping. What if this stuff doesn't get sorted in time for my interview August 31st and I have to book a new one, which wouldn't be for AGES? I am clearly freaking out here guys :(

JoAnne had her interview yesterday ... it was soooo easy! She felt like telling the VO that he should ask tougher questions!!! She was ready for anything, but all she got was total softball questions. They didnt look at any evidence and I think the VO was not eve familiar with the contents of the 129K Question 18 ... We'll write up a formal consulate review soon, we took lots of notes on the process and what she saw.

PS ... still working on our recipe :-)

Just stopping to say hi and catch up on how things are going with the Decemberite crew. I'm REALLY happy to see that people are progressing along in the process. Congrats to all the recent approvals! Mark and I are still waiting for an interview date. He has been calling every week and today sent an e-mail. We are told we should hear something in the next couple weeks.
