Thank you chnst and mrsfrisbey :) Sam is doing very well ad a one year old :D

Sam is now walking everywhere.. he's bee walking since before his birthday but wow, now he just soooo fast!! we are doing CIO for his midnight nursing and he still cried for about an hour each night during midnight for his snack... it breaks my heart but it had to be done, he's been up about 3-4 times a night and I couldnt take it anymore (after a year, i need my sleep!) I really hope it's not too late, he seems to have a very high determination!

So now I'm nursing about 4 times a day.. love it. sometimes i miss the night feeding though, listening to Sam cry wanting me doesnt help too :(

It's been hot.. hope everybody stays cool!!

I am doing surprisingly good consider the fact that we just recently moved from cold rainy Germany to hot, hot, HOT Louisiana and still living in a hotel...

I am just uncomfortable, I am pretty tall so my belly hasn't grown much out to the front but all the way up. I mean, I am fearing my lungs are gonna come out of my throat when baby kicks..LOL

So ready for delivery!!!

What is the Zantac for, Ontarkie?

Glad your doing pretty good, the heat was hard on me thank goodness she was born in June. Breathing becomes more of a challenge with feet taking over that space lol

It's been awhile since posted also, busy with the little one. Jayden is 4 months now. He's bottle fed, at what month did you mommmy's start to put some cereal flakes in the little one's milk? Right now he's still waking up every 2-3hrs in the night for his feeding.

He's on Infamil newborn powder, we had a case of the Infamil 1 liquid, i think about 12oz can, when we switch to those he was having major spit up, so we stopped and went back to the newborn power and those major spit up went away,he still has little one once in a while,

I was reading here about Acid reflux, could that be he's having acid reflux?

Now he's opening up his hand, he keep putting his fingers in his mouth to rub his gum, we tried several of those baby gum gadgets he doesn't like any of them, somehow he like to use his earlier on, he would use his knuckle to rub them, that was ok, but now that his fingers are opening, he's gaging so we wend having to kee his hand in knitting most of the time, take them off when he's sleeping, he doesn't do that while sleeping.

Gone but not Forgotten!

Hm, I don't know why he was spitting that up but I'd think if he had acid reflux, he would be spitting up anything you give him? Maybe try a different brand of formula?

About adding cereal flakes into the bottle, I was reading you shouldn't do that (eventhough I know my mom did that with all of us kids and she always tried to make me do it too) because it isn't any more satisfying but only adds more calories to the bottle.

I breastfed my son so I didn't have that option but I mixed breastmilk with a little bit of oatmeal and spoonfed that to him right around when he was 4 or 5 months old. That's how he started solids...

If he is rubbing his gums, maybe his teeth are coming in? My son loved chewing on those teething cookies from Gerber, a huge mess but it seemed to help him...does your son have a teething ring or toy, maybe that would help?

He doesn't like any of those teething toys, or gadget we get him, earlier on, he would used his knuckle to rub his gum, but now he's opening his hand, grabbing things, so now he's putting his fingers in his mouth and use them to rub his gum, that's where the major problem is, by doing so, sometimes he put his finger too deep in his mouth, and he end up gaging himself. So far the best thing he's doing, he has a soothing he would put his finger inside the soothie to rub his gum, he's doing it by relfex so doesn't happen all the time.

We have tried that a couple of times, a little milk with baby cereal flakes and give it to him. At what age do they start to sleep longer in the night?

I was thinking of the ceral because I thought maybe it would keep him full longer, he's like clockwork every 2-3hours wake up for his feeding, he'll start figiting, then heckk heckk and would be half awake , so I dim the light, change his diaper, feed him and he will go right back to sleep

Uggh, I need to vent!

I had a doctors appointment today and it didn't go well. I am almost 37 weeks but when they measured my belly, it hasn't changed over the past two weeks. So today they did an Ultrasound and the baby is measuring just 34 weeks.

They don't know what is going on so for now they want to see me 2 times a week. On thursday for a non stress test and to check for dilation and effacement again and then next tuesday again for another ultrasound and another physical exam.

They are also considering sending me to a perinatologist and I was told I might have to be induced.

The only good news today was, that they said the amniotic fluid looked just fine.

I was told not to worry but I AM worried! I'd just like to know what is going on and honestly, if they told me on thursday they can induce me right away, I'd go for it!
