Which Birth Certificate?

Hello VJ Philippines,

My fiancee has her interview next Tuesday the 28th. Her original birth certificate had her mother's nickname and after we had filed the I-129 we had her birth certificate changed to have her real name put on it.

Which birth certificate should she offer, the original or the corrected one, or both, with an explanation?

The DS-157 has the correct full names on it...so there will be a discrepancy.

Anyone see any problems arising from this? Needless to say, I am stressing harder over this than she is.

Btw, I'm asking for all of the positive vibes for her to pass...yours are much needed!

See my post regarding incorrect spelling in my birth certificate. One answered back and said that discrepancy/ies in the parental units' names will not pose any problem.

if she has both old and new, no harm in bringing it both with her. she can always just explain it to the reviewer and consul.

Do you think there will be a problems since the G-325A has the names from the original bc?

Does this throw up any flags to them?

Any way she would need to explain it other than being an honest mistake/oversight?
