The approved visa petition (I-129F) was received by the embassy.

Does the petitioner (In the US) should schedule now for an appointment? Or do I (beneficiary) need to wait for the notification from the embassy for the packet 3 (containing the DS230 & other forms)? Please advise.

There is no packet 3. You can schedule an interview as long as the Embassy has received your packet from the NVC and has entered it into their system. The Embassy simply sends you a letter telling you that you are eligible to schedule an interview. You don't need to wait for the letter. Sometimes they don't send a letter. We didn't get a letter.

Either the petitioner or the beneficiary can schedule an interview. Just pay the visa fee at BPI. Then use your NVC case number to schedule your interview.

You can read the eligibility letter form the Embassy by clicking here.
