nice! apparently in japan you can't get a police certificate w/o having something from NVC or the NOA2.

they wouldn't let her get it last week... going to send her a copy of the NOA2

and hopefully i get the NVC case # sometime soon, which i don't see happening

I was advised not to get the Police records just yet because there is an expiration date attached based on the NVC's stardards. It is only good for a time period as the person can do it now and committ crime next day and that crime not show up because the document was already submitted. Just wait for the NVC..IMO, then you can proceed.

I was thinking the same thing, just hoping that NVC gets their butts in gear and get my case in for next week (which should be 15 business days). Just trying to will it to happen.

one month from sending in the I-130!

So what is everyone doing while they wait?

I seem to be totally consummed to hear something lol...I work...but when i am off, I am checking..checking...think it is driving me crazy already!

I am really not the most patient person...i miss my kids and hubby like crazy, I know you probably all do too.

July 2010 - Hubby and our children moved back to USA (for work etc)

Nov 2010 - Visited for 3 weeks (it hurts like mad to be away from them)

June 2011 - visited for 4 weeks

26th June 2011 -I-130 Express Mail to Chicago

28th June 2011- I-130 Chicago signed for package

12th July - Returned to UK..

29th June 2011 - USCIS informed me Noa1 mailed on 29th June

2nd July 2011 - Touched

8th August 2011 - Expedite approved

12th August 2011 - Touched

12th August 2011 - The dreaded RFE!

9th September 2011 - RFE received by CSC - being reviewed!

13th September 2011 - USCIS approved

19th September 2011 - NVC received file.

4th October 2011 - NVC # assigned, emailed dob amendment email (amended now), emailed DS-3032, Logged into payment portal (not invoiced), booked medical - 20th October

5th October 2011 - Emailed expedite

6th October 2011 - 2 emails from NVC (expedite and ds-3032 responses)

- SIF at payment portal.

7th October 2011 - expedite approved

12th October 2011 - case left NVC (nice birthday present!)

13th October 2001 - case arrived in UK

20th October 2011 - Medical - passed

24th October 2011 - DS-230 & DS-2001 received by Embassy

3rd November 2011 - interview - approved

4th November 2011 - text message from courier, saying they are delivering on Monday

7th November 2011 - Visa received

in the UK the police certificate is valid for 12 months so im kinda hoping that I wont still be waiting for my NOA2 in 12 months, lol

One month passed already.. waiting for NOA2

150 days for NOA2

2011-06-22 : I-130 Sent

2011-06-24 : I-130 NOA1

2011-11-21 : I-130 Approved

43 days to received the mail from NVC

35 days to completed with the NVC

2012-01-04 : Received DS-3032 / I-864 Bill

2012-01-04 : Pay I-864 Bill

2012-01-25 : Returned Packet3

2012-02-02 : Asked for REF

2012-02-06 : REF was sent by Fedex

2012-02-10 : Case completed and Interview date was issued !! really fast

2012-02-24 : Medical exam! Passed!

2012-03-21 : Interview date

2012-03-28 : GOT VISA!!!!!

I will go to the US, see my HUBBY around June 2012 YEY!!

I think we all monitor all the forums leading to this one :lol: ....We're all counting the days and checking the uscis.gov site until we're all reunited with our loved ones. I call the USCIS number twice a week, and I've tried to get the number for CSC to see if I can get a more specific status to no luck at all. If anyone out there has had any luck getting info, please share it with the rest of us.

I think calling USCIS is a wasted exercise to be honest. The call centre workers cannot tell you any more than you can already find out by logging into USCIS online. I don't think it's worth calling until you're past the estimated date on your VJ timeline.

Until then I sit and wait. But I'm going to book a GP appointment and get vaccinations so I don't have to get them all in Knightsbridge, and arrange my police certificate, before then.

From other peoples experience USCIS call centers only tell you what you can see online and they wont do a thing about your case until its past the 5 month mark.

I pass the time getting ready for the next stage, nearly all the NVC paperwork is complete and printed, just need to sign and date. Vaccination record for me and my son is next, then I can work out if we need any.

I know it's a total waste of time, and I've actually become friendly with some of the people who answer my calls repeatedly and they've been nice to me; I know the call center is nowhere near the service centers at all. I just hate to feel I'm not doing a thing about it!!!
