K & S, sorry to hear that, but you have to agree that it's the good thing that it happened now, not later. When something ends it means that there is a way for a new beginning.

So, good luck to you! It doesn't have to be a Ukrainian woman next time, I'm pretty sure there are good women everywhere.

I agree with many of the comments above. If you try this route again, spend a visit with the woman in her hometown. Evaluate how much she is really opening up her life to you, and how much she is showing you to the people she loves. A good woman won't introduce you around unless she cares. If she doesn't, you will see the lack of feeling quick.

And don't volunteer to send money. Best of luck.

Sorry to see this outcome, but like others said, it's better now than later. You would have been dealing with things not being right for a long time. Don't give up hope though...you can find someone who will be happy to be with you and will show it...IF you look. That's the key though...you have to keep looking.

Wife's visa journey:

03/19/07: Initial mailing of I-129F.

07/07/11: U.S. Citizenship approved and Oath Ceremony!

MIL's visa journey:

07/26/11: Initial mailing of I-130.

05/22/12: Interview passed!

You've just gone through a rite of passage as a man on the MOB journey. Or, if you prefer a modern analogy, you earned your degree in Russian Womanology. Some "schools" cost more than others. Take your education and go find a decent honest woman...remembering "honesty" is a relative term. :)

The jerk from yesterday no doubt that was insulting Ukrainian women and saying they were all scammers. His other thread got taken down and he probably tried to start trouble here.

Regardless of the reason for this thread's resurrection, I'm glad of it. I re-read all 14 pages (!) and was reminded of the collective wisdom and the genuine caring of the denizens of this here RUBforum, si man.

I also wonder what became of the OP.
