I'm sorry if what I said was wrong :crying: ..I actually was quoting what I saw said in another post by rahma (who has always been a good and valid source of information). I'm having a rough time right now with some very personal issues and I may have misread what you wrote so if what you said was good...thanks (F)

I just wanted to help (F)

and to the fasting during the "cycle"...what I was told is that....a womans body is technically not clean during the cycle even if she makes woodoo... I could be wrong so please don't quote me on that....

I didn't mean that you said anything wrong. I was just offering you links to some websites where you can find fatawa from shaykh bin baaz if you respect his opinion. (F)

I believe you are correct about not being 'clean' while we're on our menses and that's why we're not to touch the Quran until after they have gone and we have made ghusl.

why is it that a women is "dirty" when she has her period and cannot touch the Qu'ran or go into a mosque?? this is one thing that my husband has not been able to explain to me.... most things in Islam i find very logical once they are explained... but this one i still have some trouble with

I don't know about you but for myself...I feel really unclean during that time. the fact that there is constantly something "unclean" occurring for the duration of the menses is the reason we are considered unclean. and I have been told that you have to be clean to touch the quran so it makes sense about not touching it in that time. again, this is just my understanding on it ...not quoted
