Good day!

We'll be resubmitting our AOS application today due to incorrect fees. Hopefully this will work out since we have already separated the checks for me and for my son and include I-485 form for my 9 yr old son.

Another thing we need to consider although it's not stipulated in our RFE, I'd like to be certain if how many passport style photos should be submitted for I-485, I-131 and I-765.

Also, is it fine if the name on the remitter of my I-485 application payment is my husband (as petitioner) and my name (as applicant) and on my son's payment check is my name (as parent) and his name (as applicant)? We also indicated check is paid to US Dept. of Homeland Security - is this fine?

Looking forward for your kind help. God bless.

You need 2 passport photos for each application, so 6 in total.

Thank you for your response Jay-Kay. This whole AOS application process is really a stressful thing that most of the time brings frustrations and anxieties in our lives. I really hope to finally get at the end of this with all positive approval from USCIS.

Have a great day! God bless you.

Have a read of the AOS thread in my signature.

Cheques must be made out to "US Department of Homeland Security" don't shorten any more than that.

Oh my I'm going crazy with this AOS thing! My husband made the check and he said that the bank just put it as U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security coz the bank says it's just fine. Another thing when the FedEx printed our passport photos, my son's face is all red (I complained and the FedEx girl said it's because of my son's dark color that's why it looks red, they can't adjust it for everything will go wrong if she'll do it!) then I complained about the measurement, doesn't seemed right but my husband insist it's just fine, USCIS people won't measure them meticulously.

This whole AOS process drives me nuts and usually caused arguments with my husband. It's like telling me I should give up the idea of having my status adjusted and just go back to where I truly feel I should belong - back in our country.
