Then I would suggest just calling the NVC...since it is easy to get a hold of a representative it is best if you call them And talk directly.

Looks like Cairo has slowed down and is now taking spouse visa interviews 3 monthys from case complete to get an interview.....

Hey guys, I am expecting an NOA2 very soon since I got an RFE and they are working on it now. I completed all the paper work needed for NVC and ready to mail it once I get approved and assigned a case number. However, I was wondering if any of you can tell me how to get ready for the interview? I am the USC but 100% Egyptian. I am pregnant now in 23 weeks and I will be leaving to the US on March 1st and want my husband to attend my delivery in June :( Please help me with any advice since I really want to rush this NVC process.

Hey guys, I am expecting an NOA2 very soon since I got an RFE and they are working on it now. I completed all the paper work needed for NVC and ready to mail it once I get approved and assigned a case number. However, I was wondering if any of you can tell me how to get ready for the interview? I am the USC but 100% Egyptian. I am pregnant now in 23 weeks and I will be leaving to the US on March 1st and want my husband to attend my delivery in June :( Please help me with any advice since I really want to rush this NVC process.

First thing..........it will be about a 3 month wait from case complete at nvc till interview. At least that is what the last couple people have waited. Hopefully it will decrease again. But do not expect it to change. It might even get longer. It was a 6 month wait for interview a little over a year ago.

The best thing you can do is get through NVC quickly. I got through it in 13 days.

So, make sure you have all the paperwork ready. Send extra proof with the ds-230 of living together, baby sonograms, family pics.... anything more you have together.

Call NVC everyday-twice a day till you get the case number and IIN number. Give them both your emails.

Then check the NVC portal a few times a day and pay those invoices as soon as possible and print off the cover sheet and the next day you will be able to send the packet.

Then the same day you can pay the ds-230 fee and print the cover sheet and the next day send the package.

I guess since you are sending from egypt you can wait and mail it all together on the 3rd day?

And remember he might get AP after the interview. The soonest he will get the visa is 10 days. But most people wait about 2 months and a few very unlucky ones wait over a year. Since you live with him I think he will get the visa quicker. But you never know if he will get a name hit.

He probably will not be there for the birth of the baby....sorry
