Then I would suggest just calling the NVC...since it is easy to get a hold of a representative it is best if you call them And talk directly.

Sorry for the delay reporting ..

My wife visa was approved on 6/10 and we got the passport back on 6/18. She is States' side now and life is good.

Thank you all for your help and companionship.

Hi Micki!!! Hope things are better. To answer ur question, NO!!! Lol, it doesn't work. At least not for us. The first time I checked it it said "REFUSED" with a post date of 24 July. I freaked out and called DOS the next day to verify what's the deal. I was told that the system is just new and doesn't reflect any changes. That everything is the same as it was and that the more accurate tracker is through the IV portal through embassy site. I don't think that gets updated too often either though. I think the best info is by calling DOS and the embassy.

Hello everyone, This is Lina. I hope you still remember me.

I want to start first by apologizing for the very late reply, but we have been through tough situation that made us postpond everything.

Here is the latest detail.

My husband Tarek missed his appointment on 12/19/2011 at the US embassy in Cairo due to a family emergency and he had his 2nd interview in June 19, 2012. the interview was smooth, and short but he stayed their the whole day. He entered 7:30am ( was the first one ) and left around 4 Pm.He was approved and asked for original papers such as his original birth certificate and military certificate not the one we submit that is translated and certified.

Any way i went there in July and stayed the whole month and came back to the state in Aug,2012, now he followed me to California. He eneterd the US in 09/08/2012.

It was a long journey buy thank God it ended well.

Here is the time line for his immigration process. and i repeat my appology and hope that everyone get their viza soon.

Tarek Immigration progress:

January-15, 2011: I-130 petition sent

January-31, 2011: NOA-1 for I-130 (Notice of Action) Received

March 8, 2011: I-129F petition sent (K3/K4)

March16, 2011: NOA-1 For I-129F (Notice of Action) received

May 19, 2011: Approval for Both I-130, I-129F

May25, 2011: NOA2 (Notice of Action) for I-130, I-129F received in the mail.

June7, 2011: DS-3032 returned (via e-mail and snail mail).

June 8, 2011: AOS fee paid $88

June 10, 2011: confirmation letter from NVC: I-130 is the one will be processed

June 18, 2011: I-864 form sent with documents

June21, 2011: NVC received them

June22, 2011: Paid IV Fee $404 for applicant

July13, 2011: Sent DS-230 with civil documents

July16, 2011: NVC received the documents

July 31, 2011: NVC Send request for original marriage certificate
