Waleed is here and doing wonderfully

He is on my accounts

Got his Social security at day 11

Applied for a credit card...waiting results....

Applying for jobs

had one phone screening interview-hear something in 2-3 weeks

Got his Illinois ID card

Will get his car tonight

Been driving around town learning the rules of our roads! heehehee not like egypt at all. Hard to keep him driving in the white lines and not ON THEM

Studying for drivers license (or he is supposed to be studying!!)

Met and Egyptian friend who was in our town a couple days

Waiting for the greencard they say it takes 1-2 months so it will be awhile

He has accomplished so much in such a little time. He has been here only 2.5 weeks.

Has met mom and grandma and aunties and uncle.

I have no friends since I fell in love with him and been stuck to a computer every night!! lol So we will meet my best friend in California this summer -I hope

Maybe travel to Arizona and meet my sister and her family this summer

And of course Disney is Florida is somewhere in our future cause I want to meet 3 of our VJ friends

ohhhh great news , yes my wife and baby been here for 4 month now its wonderful to have her and my little one with all the craziness in egypt , i feel bad for the people who r still waiting , she is doing good adujsting ,

the best way for waleed to get his credit started is to get a secure credit card u use your own money for a year and then they return it to u and give u a credit line , we live in california so u guys are wellcome to visit when u come to CA . good to hear from u tell waleed hi , im mina by the way

I just wanted to let everyone know that my husband got his visaaaa finally!

I don't have my entire timeline updated because I joined just before his interview and don't really remember all the dates... but togetherforever if you want to add us to your list

Interview: Feb 7th

Result: AP "4-6 weeks"

Visa in Hand: April 4th

(I did contact my congressman after 6 weeks and I do think they may have sped up the process.. they answered the congressman on thursday telling them the visa was issued and didn't even change the online status (If you call contact us and ask about ur visa a status) till sunday)

Thank you all so much for your support its a stressful time especially in AP not knowing when it will be over... but hang in there!

In other news, my AOS bill has been paid and accepted. Package should arrive at NVC today. DS3032 has also been accepted. Waiting for the IV bill which won't be invoiced until after Friday (they've held back all invoices for the past week and a half until this Friday when the new lower fees come into effect). Otherwise, just hoping for no checklists and a quick case complete, as well as an interview in May perhaps... Seems Cairo embassy is not too packed these days... A girl can wish...
