NVC: Cairo Embassy IR-1/CR-1

Togetherforever thank u so much! I called the NVC and they said they will be scheduling for April next week...so I guess I'll call every day lol...well now what do I do? Do I tell my wife to go get the medical? What are the next steps? What do I need to send her from my side?

Your wife will have an easy time and she will have her visa in 10 days. Do not worry.

You cannot schedule the medical till you get the email with the interview date.

She will need 3 passport photos and her passport and the email to do the medical

and money

and shots

Just have her collect a small binder of photos with family and friends and some chats and emails and webcams or phone bills.

She will not need much

But egypt asks for photos, email, chats and Military, police and marriage, divorce

So make sure she has original marriage, divorce, military, police and a copy of each---just in case they lost it

and just 100 pages of photos or evidence.

You want to make sure they have no reason to delay her. and if she doesnt have a document it makes them wait for 1-2 extra months

sounds like we need a whole bunch of evidence and that I have to be in Egypt with her before and during the interview to make sure she has everything. I asked NVC and they said she does not need any of the documents that are in the packets...but from what I've read Cairo is notorious for being picky...mannnnn

Yes it sucks they are kind of picky. But as far as I know they don't let you in the interview anymore. I wasn't allowed near the window with my husband. And other people didn't even get into the embassy.

Yes Cairo seems to know what documents someone does not have!!! Like people have everything but their marriage license and that is what they decide they need. or the police cert or pics.... Caro CO's have ESP powers!!

My husband brought plenty of proof and he had everything they could possibly want----they asked for nothing!!! lol

If you are both Egyptian then Cairo will let you in. It is just white folks they do not want inside! I mean American born

It's because they know you are the foreign spouse if you don't look egyptian....I am Egyptian they let me in but they didn't let me or the guy behind us go up to the windows with our spouses...so basically you are there for moral support and wait times.

and it was the same for us on documents I had huge folders with organized sections and all they asked for was wedding pictures lol....it's like if you have them they don't want them if you don't they ask you for them. So better get all you can ahead of time.
