If you are asking if the newer marriage cert that you went back and had the government make is good enough for the interview or nvc then Yes it is. I do not know what (o) is?

I think (o) means that they received original document and accepted it.

That's where I'm at! Studied 30 lessons, hundreds of times, but all I know is yes, no, good morning, some, but, water, ok, kiss, I miss you and of course I love you.

And when I was with my husband I attempted to speak to my new family in Arabic, but all I got was a blank look on their faces  It wasn't very encouraging to say the least.

I am blessed that my mom in law was an english teacher so I can have a conversation with all members of the family. Sometimes, I try to act cool and speak some arabic to tjem and all of the just cant stop laughing at me. I get the same response at grocery stores. Lol I can only imagine what I sound like. I thank god they speak english cause I can only say majnooooon. Lol I guess I might say words a little long and sound like a two year old. Heeheeeheehe I will speak arabic again in about 10 days!!! You are very lucky! My husband is the only one in his family that speaks English. He has one friend that does also. So I am at a loss for words  And the laughing at my Arabic makes me very uncomfortable. My husband thinks it is so cute! Ha! I feel myself turning red! And my husband and I use the pet names Magnon and Magnona as well  It is very suiting. I miss my husband so much! It has been 8 months! Oh my, I don't know if I can take it any longer. I don't know about you, but my husband refuses for me to visit him now with what is going on there. Last time I was there, he hired a private car and a body guard to escort us outside, and we were still followed and had to have the military intervene. It was nuts! I had men trying to open my car door and grab me. There is no way he will allow me back there now. I just wish he would come home soon!

I feel most conscious of it in front of the in-laws... I get tongue-tied with them most of the time, it's horrible ::face palm::

Geez, sorry to hear about your ordeal. It sounds horrible. My husband never told me there was any danger during the revolution to worry about, but he admits to it being very dangerous at this time and for the past few months. I'm so worried.

My husband calls me magnoona sometimes too!!! Lol, must be an Egyptian thing...

I am glad you will be with him soon. I tried to talk my husband into letting me come for the interview but he refused. He said, he will be approved and it is not a place for his beautiful American wife right now. I told him it is important for me to be there, but still he said the embassy will understand that it is not safe for you to travel here. I know he is right, but I am so tired without him. I don't know what your physical characteristics are, but I am 6'0" tall, long blonde hair and blue eyes and I stick out in the most uncomfortable way (not saying I am anything special- just very different than Egyptian). It is not a good feeling being in public for me. I feel a thousand eyes over me! And my husband is probably more uncomfortable than I am. We are both Christian, so I don't cover anything, but I can tell you there were times when I wanted to borrow the lady's hijab(I think that's what you call it) next to me.
