I kind of understand but it seems too much focus on one group then you miss the next group that might do something. It would be fine if they dont already take so long at the other phases. I mean isn't the first step that takes 4 months a background check? Then the Nvc has it's own review? So on top of that another couple of month I just don't understand that part. But it's the process.

Actually, from what I understand from the USCIS description of the initial review (the first 5 month wait), it is based on the US citizen. The background, criminal, etc. checks are for the USC. That's what I understand, but I could be wrong I guess.

USCIS

Sept. 22, 2011 - NOA1

March 13, 2012 - NOA2 (via text/email)

NVC

March 19, 2012 - Case received at NVC (in building)

April 02, 2012 - Received case #, IIN, submitted email addresses

April 03, 2012 - AOS bill invoiced & paid; 'IN PROCESS'

April 03, 2012 - emailed DS-3032

April 04, 2012 - AOS fee cleared from bank account

April 06, 2012 - DS-3032 acceptance email received

April 10, 2012 - AOS payment 'PAID'; AOS package sent

April 16, 2012 - AOS accepted/completed

April 25, 2012 - IV bill invoiced & paid; 'IN PROCESS'

April 27, 2012 - IV payment 'PAID'; IV package sent

May 01, 2012 - NVC case complete!!!

May 09, 2012 - Received interview notification email

Hmmm maybe but that's seems real long on a citizen since all records are available. Well guess it's a waiting game regardless gotta make the best of it.

Yea based on the history of interviews, and you Are a girl and you should even mention that to your consular...just make a side comment that you are so happy you got an interview because your doctor said you cant travel after January or just ask the consular and tell him or her your situation. Regardless, I think you will be fine inshaAllah.

Don't stress out, i dont think you have anything to worry about. just take care of yourself and the baby and inshaAllah you two will be with your husband before February.

We're both Egyptian and we've been married since May 2010. Won't be at the interview. We're cautiously optimistic given how long this has all taken. We'll see what happens. And as always, will keep you all posted.

She will be fine! I hope she has a beautiful flight to USA!!

I think the 4 months AP is not accurate because it's around when the revolution happened and things shut down right? The rest give a good idea tho. You do a great job researching :)
