I just counted the December interviews and there are a total of 790 interviews.

Of those there are

269 spouse interviews.

171 DV lottery interviews

Strange thing I see 10 DV lottery interviews on Christmas Dec 25, 2011.

Also, I still think they are titling some of the interviews wrong because I only see 2 fiance visa interviews scheduled for the month of December?????

I believe the normal timeframe for receiving the visa relative to the interview is 7-10 days. Based on what I've read here, six weeks seems to be the typical timeframe for administrative processing.

If anyone whose interview is in November receives (or already received) their visa, please let us know how long it took. Thanks and good luck to everyone!

Yea my interview was on the 20th, they recieved the military documents on the 23rd, then 24th embassy was closed and the elections are going on these 2 days so I'm expecting it the first week of December inshaAllah. I called the NVC and they said its out of their hands and my husband called the embassy and they said they haven't sent his passport out yet..

Today is the 29th of the month!!!

The embassy has frequently used the 29th as a day to give out interviews during the last 6 months. But, during the last 6 months the embassy has never given out interview dates on a Tuesday...so maybe we wait again till the begining of December???

Anyhow, everyone should call today after 1130pm Cairo time and see if they scheduled an interview for January!

Good Luck

Do you have to talk to an operator to find out or would it just be through the automated system?

Talk to an operator. Or you can wait for the email. Sometimes the email comes 2 days later and sometimes 2 hours later. So, most people call NVC and ask the operator.

The AVR (automatic Response SYstem) is not very reliable. It is always delayed about 2 days.
