What's a priority date? Is that interview date? Sorry since I'm using a lawyer I don't know what it means.

It is the date on the NOA1.

It is not used for cairo spouse visas but it is used for a visa for your mother or sister it means how many years they will wait for an interview.

May 24, 2011 NOA1

Sept 11, 2011 NOA2-took 19 days to get case number

Sept 30, 2011 NVC number and IIN received Friday-gotta wait till Monday

Oct 13, 2011 Case Completed- 13 days from receiving case number Took 32 days from NOA2

Nov 30, 2011 Notified of Interview date

January 19, 2012 Interview- 240 days from NOA1

INTERVIEW RESULTS-APPROVED WITH 14 WEEKS AP--but he got his visa in 56 days!!!!!!

Ah I get it basically it's used for relatives other than a spouse you want to bring over. It'd be interesting to know how long that takes.

My husbands interview is after a few days..does anybody know of any person that had an interview in Cairo that went alone (without spouse) to the interview. Im trying to figure out the logistics and fly in for the day but im coming from chicago so it's a tricky situation. I guess it's a lot easier if you are with your spouse there...I posted before about this but didn't get many answers...pls share your thoughts

If you have red flags then you should go.

Are your 15 years or more older then your husband?

Have you been married before?

Have you ever petitioned for another foreigner?

Did you marry on 1st meeting?

Have you only seen him in person 3 weeks or less?

I have seen both people go and get denied. I have seen spouse only go and get approved. I think it just depends on your history and how much evidence you have.

This is just my opinion. There are really no facts about this subject.

Good luck
