This is what was written in the embassy website, so if you want to contact them in regards of the backlog email them.

"Please send an email to the direct attention of the Consul General: ConsularCairoNIV@state.gov and he will reach out to you directly."

Lina

That email is for NonImmigrant Visas and it did not work. But I found the right one.

Does anybody know when cami&eslam found out about their interview? Just wondering...I'm sure I didn't get a November interview bcuz I keep being told by the NVC That November scheduling is complete and we don't have an interview...so now that that has sunken in I can start thinking about a december interview. When do u think we can expect to hear from the NVC about December?

I actually brought my work with me here in (Egypt) I work in IT), and I have been living with my wife in Egypt for the past three months waiting patiently for our interview. My wife just gave birth to my son one week ago. I really need to get my interview date so I can get back to my life in the states and my job. I have an interview date at the Embassy to get my son an American passport November first so I will ask them while I'm there if there is anything that I can do to get my wife an interview date any sooner. This process really needs to change, but it seems like there is nothing that I can do. I call and call, and wait and wait and get nothing. I wish this will end and wish that there was a way to change this system. I have emailed the senator talked to a lawyer no can help all we can do is wait! I really do not want to lose my job over this.

Yea I agree with Lena samy...I think if we have an Interview we can know in the end of the month. I think the 2nd week of the month thing is for embassies that function properly...some cases that close at the NVC on the 8th can get an interview the following month! But yea, I guess all we can do is wait. Tamer I think you can expect an interview in January, but possibly February. My case finished in may and I am hoping for a December interview inshaAllah...but this is the first time I saw them cut the month in half..cami and eslam were waiting from may 2nd and they got a November Interview but I have been Waiting since may 16th and i didn't. Since your case was completed at the end of June, it may be pushed back a little..I hope not inshaAllah. Wish you the best.
