I was looking at the list of names and I noticed that the last interview that was scheduled for October which was scheduled was for mid october...and they all heard back from the NVC at the end of August..so I'm getting really discouraged and frustrated. Do you guys think that people whose cases were closed in May will hear about November interviews? Feeling overwhelmed. please help

I believe they will. But I am still at NVC stage so my assumptions do not mean much. There are alot of jan and feb case completes for OCtober interviews.

I just hope May, June and some of July get interviews in November so the embassy can stop the 6 month wait. They have got to catch up soon.

We are waiting to hear about interviews in November and we have a lot of hope

Hey all, hoping to hear great news this week inshaAllah. I was looking back at this thread and August interviews heard from the NVC mid July which gave so much more hope to me. InshaAllah Khair. Good luck to all and I hope we all hear good news soon, the NVC is just teasing us now.

I called a few minutes ago and they said that they finished scheduling for November and unfortunately, my husband's case was not scheduled for November. Has anyone called to confirmed that? Our case completed on May 24th of this year. It's been six months. Could it be possible that perhaps our case could be scheduled for November but has not shown up on the computers yet?

I am hoping they are lying to you. I have not seen any Novemeber dates on the embassy website.

I wish we could write someone and explain that the embassy needs more staff to catch up on the back log. Does anyone have any ideas?

I am really hoping that they are lying to me also. I am hoping they are telling me this to make me stop calling. You're right, I have not seen anyone scheduled for November yet. I called this morning and they told me to call back Friday. So, maybe I am calling too much. They didn't really give me a long script as they usually do. It was just a, "We stopped scheduling and your case is in line for scheduling, but unfortunately, it was not scheduled for November". There was no calling back the second week of next month.

I think they will give the interviews out the 27th...but I know I wrote them an email and they said to check the website the end of next week so maybe they will give them out next friday the 21st?

Anyhow sometime between the 21 and 27th people will get their dates. But I still want to write someone with my concerns for the office and backlog of cases.

i called the NVC today, as I have been calling everyday since Sept 26th, and it has pretty much been the same response: we are currently scheduling November interviews....to my understanding, they cannot tell you that you do not have an interview until the end of the 2nd week (I think they do that just to be sure) because they are not done scheduling...I have called about 10 times already this month and every time I call they tell me to call on the 17th if I have not heard from the NVC to make sure if I have an interview or not..so in the next 2 days we should expect to hear news inshaAllah...then there is the weekend then the 17th. They wouldn't inform you any later than that because they allow you time before the interview to get your medical examination or whatever else you need to beforehand and interviews could be as early as Nov 1st. So they wouldn't tell you as late as Oct 27th about a possible interview a few days later. They could however, tell you at the end of this month about an interview in December....The pattern seems to be that people are being informed at the end of the month of an interview 6 weeks later or informed in the middle of the month about an interview 4 weeks later. I'm praying that is the case for the May people. My case was complete on May 16th and I haven't heard anything yet.

People that got cleared in April heard from the NVC at the end of August about October interviews (6 weeks notice)...but people that had August interviews heard from the NVC in mid July (4 weeks notice). I think and pray that they were messing with you or that you misheard what they actually said. Maybe they meant to say Unfortunately we were unable to schedule an interview in October due to the limited capacity at the US Embassy in Cairo (they have been saying that to me all week...i'm pretty sure they are just reading off of something) so it is probable that they misread November instead of October or you misheard?

I am still hopeful, as you should all be. Also, i think the US embassy website doesn't update that often or at the right time, which is also annoying.

Sorry, this is getting long but I hope people can get some comfort from it, don't give up on May folks...inshaAllah we will know in the next few days. Allah grant us patience till then.

I just checked the embassy website...it looks like they updated a week ago (Oct 5th) and there are only October dates, I couldn't find a single November interview on there!
