NVC: Cairo Embassy IR-1/CR-1

i want to ask a question,, why all people in Egype wait after case complete for 5 or 6 months to get their interview and is it the same in Jordan.. my case was completed on Sep 7th 2011,, and till now i didnt hear anything....

and another question.. is the embassy in Egypt closed??

O,, AM SORRY, hope to recevie ur interview date soon,, but my question is if u know why Egype took 5 to 6 months,, i saw jordan timelines ,,all of them get their interview date in 2 months ?

Has anyone whose case completed in May received an interview date yet? I called today and there is still no interview scheduled. My husband's case completed on May 24th and I thought I would receive some information by September 29th and still nothing.

Salam to all, I am adding my name to the list. I, like everybody else on this forum, am extremely tired of waiting. When you actually wait for a day to get an email then the time goes by a lot slower...it's starting to get to me. My case was closed at the NVC on May 16th, so I was really expecting to hear from them the last days of September..but it seems like if you wait for something it will never come but if you forget about it then when you least expect it you will get it.

It's nice to see that there is a strong support group here. Allah bless you all.

I Know , it's extremly hard to wait, you 've past the longest part so i hope you will hear some good news by the end of next week of October like after 10/15 since they schedule every sesond week of the month.

I added my name to the list. Our case was completed on 08/12/2011 so probably i am expecting to hear his appointment on February inshallah.

35 egy IR1 interview

30 CR1

35 IR5

Cr2=3

IR2=45 or more

K1=50

DV= maybe 30 from egypt

This is a very nice change

So where are you guys!! Tell us who got dates please. I hope it is everyone that is waiting. I seen numbers approved that are amazingly close to mine and I think our 6 months of tortuous waiting is over. God I hope. Inshallah

I saw that WendyAhmed got approved, congratulations ....but why is there AP and how long does that last? Just when i get calm, something new comes up to keep me nervous.

I need help understanding these NVC numbers then.

I see numbers approved for K1 interviews like

And many more from like 2011653012 till the 2011742009.

These people must have just got thru NVC. I got to NVC on Sept 30th and my number is before some of these.

So, how long has it been taking the K1 people to get an interview?

Also for the CR-1 interviews the numbers I see are

And Many more. So did all these people expedite? And they jump in front of others? I cannot imagine May would have a number higher then these numbers.

MAry and Besho got approved. No AP!! I seen her post said pick up visa in 2-10 days.

Nababdurrahman, can you edit your timeline on your profile so I can see how you progressed thru each stage of this process?

And did you check the embassy website yourself or does the embassy just call you or send you email or mail?

Hi There,

Would you mind telling us where did you see that case number from 2011653012 till the 2011742009 that were approved for Visa interview?

Because my case is CR1 and it's2011653013 which is 1 number ahead of the one above.

In regards of the understanding the NVC Case # this is how it is and i am going to apply it on my case #

My case is CRO2011653013

The code CRO is as you know is the US embassy in Cairo

The first 4 digits ( 2011) is the year they received your case which is 2011

The next 3 digits (653); you minus the # from 500 (653-500=153) that would be the 153th day of the year wich will be in June.

The last 3 digits (013) that means his case the #13 in line.

I hope that i was able to explain it to you.

And for Mary and Besho can they tell us what the questions were asked cuz i am very anxious too about this AP thing.

I looked quick and I did not see your number but the number before ou is a K1 fiance visa.

So how long do the fiance visa people wait afer they are done with NVC?
