I have read posts stating that if the fiance visits, she needs to bring "proof" items that she is not staying in the U.S. while on the visit. She will bring a letter from work showing she is returning in 2.5 weeks, bank account information, returning flight ticket, etc. However, all this information is in Dutch. Will this be a issue at customs?

AOS TIMELINE:

02/08/2012 AOS Application Sent.

02/14/2012 NOA Hard Copy Received for EAD and AOS in mail 2/14/2012.

03/01/2012 Biometrics letter received. Bio scheduled at 3pm on 03/29.

03/29/2012 Successful Biometrics. In & out only 20 mins.

04/03/2012 Received text and email of EAD card production.

04/05/2012 Received text and email of EAD card mailed.

04/06/2012 Received EAD Card.

hehe. yes, unless she just happens to get a CBP officer who can read dutch. Best bet is to get a notarized and appostilized translation of the documents. She can also bring a copy of NOA1 as well.

I think language makes a big difference. The Airline round trip ticket might not be a big problem. But the letter from employer and the bank statement should be translated and notarized too.
