Ok fine...I'm on this forum for a brief time to assist myself and my Wife in obtaining a Visa..once that's complete, we'll live our lives and probably never return to VJ. In the mean time , we are grateful for the help we receive here.

You, on the other hand have trolled this site for 6 years..and in looking at your previous posts..offering little information of help to anyone (in my opinion of course..others may disagree, no problem). I do know..the few times your quoted me its been in a negative manner..I LIVE here and I think I have a little better clue on whats going on. I don't know your situation nor do I care. But I do know that the MAJORITY of the VJ'ers have only visited the PI for a brief time..AND.. I MIGHT be able to offer them information to save their life. The PI is not main street USA! And with that....I'm out of this thread. (although it's a very thought provoking thread and I've enjoyed it..Thanks Adan and Thet ).

There you go again. :bonk: Now you're leveling a personal attack at sunandmoon, and it's readily apparent that you didn't even do your homework first. If you simply had bothered to look at his posting history, you would have discovered that sunandmoon has unselfishly helped a countless number of VJers with their visa journey, and was a well-respected member long before you came along. I guess you also haven't noticed that he has two pinned threads. How do you think that happened?

You, on the other hand, have unsurprisingly contributed nothing, and you aren't planning to help anyone on VJ who is coming up behind you. By your own admission, when you've gotten what you want, you'll probably never return. That fact makes your attack and your name-calling sound all the more ridiculous.

And by the way, the majority of VJers in the Philippines sub-forum know more about 'Pinas than you ever will because they are Pinay who were born and raised there. You had better put away your "expert" card because it appears that you were clueless about that too.

As for your whining and defensiveness, it's a safe bet that you were a cranky old lolo long before you ever lived in 'Pinas.

thanks Tahoma for your comments.

Steve&Fe, about your accusation about me. I want to commend you for your speed reading skills, having read my 6 year posting history on VJ. you say I've offered little information of help to anyone. In the time on been on VJ, if the information or advise I've offered has been of help to even one member, it was been worth it. VJ has been a great help to me from filing of the 129f thru ROC. I've tried to give back.

best of luck to all on their visa journey and beyond...

It's even worse here. 21 hours of darkness. Fifty below zero raw temp, worse with wind chill. Like you have in the North.

Surely you are talking about Fairbanks, not Anchorage? Anchorage averages 26°F in the wintertime, with Jan being around 15°F (-9°C) and Feb around 18°F (-7°C). Now Fairbanks... yeah, they see temps of -50°F(-45°C).

If you are referring to Manila traffic, I agree. Some of the worst out there!! But get out of the big, polluted, over-crowded city... Boracay isn't bad, none of the provinces on Luzon seem all that bad, and from what I have been reading, Bohol/Panglao isn't bad, either. (Planning on a pre-wedding honeymoon there in October if all works out for us)

I am buying a house in Cabiao right now, for the future, and traffic there is of no concern at all. I plan to retire in the PI, and if we are unhappy after a while, the USA is only two plane tickets away...
