I'm putting together my packet for the AOS, AP, and EAD for applying from a K1 visa. I'm wondering if I can use one cover letter for all three or if I should do a separate cover letter for each one.

They don't usually look at cover letters (so i've been told) but I personally used 3 separate cover letters as a way of having a sort of "contents list" to work from to make sure I remembered to include everything. So whether you want 1 or 3 is up to you, bearing in mind, your AOS/EAD and AP are separated once they arrive so they will be process separately.

A cover letter listing everything that is enclosed is a good idea. It is like a packing list and will also help you to make sure you include everything that is required. It may even help whomever opens your package to verify you sent in all that is required.

Here is what I sent in as a cover letter:

My Name

Wife's Name

Address

City, State, Zip

Phone #

Date
