resubmitting documents to embassy

We were asked at our interview to verify my son doesnt live with me and that i dont claim him on taxes or pay child support since he is now 18 per the law of NC. We have our final documents....they actually asked if we could get a clear statement as they dont understand the legaleze of the attorny documents....LOL well i gotta say it took me 3 months of reading it myself so i should have already thought of this but dropped the ball now paying for it..

can anybody tell me roughly how long it takes once those documents are received to get the final decision? They kept my husbands passport and issued a pink token for submitting the documents and told him to keep it as the visa will arrive and he will need it to obtain it from the local office. Also said we have no control over ap..you are on mandatory ap....but they never said...your approved bcos they have to verify my houshold size bcos if they include my son (which legally i dont)then i dont make enough...

any ideas would ease my mind a bit....thanks!!!!

9/9/2013 Responded to NOIR/USCIS received documents awaiting response

9/20/2013 USCIS reaffirmed sent to embassy

1/04/14 Case opened for review

8/31/15 Interview- no questions visa approved on the spot

9/8/15 visa status issued

9/10/15 visa received

9/19/15 POE Charlotte

Salam Ameena, I believe I know you from the group American and Pakistani couples. Anyhow as for your queation... If the embassy will allow, which I think they will, you can scan the papers and email it to the embassy. This will save ALOT of time. And from the sound of it he has been approved , but will have to go though AP , no telling how long that will take. Took my husband over a year. But ... From what I've seen his took longer than most. InShaAllah your hubby wont take as long !
