Some of the other boats' whereabouts remain unknown to the press are being loaded down in Cyprus with Iranian missiles at this time.

There is absolutely no evidence that any of the Flotilla boats or members have anything at all to do with transporting any missiles. Nothing. Nil. Nada. Zilch.

I don't disagree. I think Israel should provided the information, especially since it makes the UN report inaccurate and ultimately harms Israel. Thats Israel's biggest mistake IMO, they need to work with the UN. Gaza and the West Bank shouldn't be occupied by Israeli forces, they should be occupied by UN peace keepers.

Palestinians and several other countries have suggested UN peacekeepers many times. It is Israel that refuses that idea.

Its clear that they don't trust the UN. But they need to give it a shot. If the UN forces can't keep a lid on things, at least Israel can then say they tried.

But... that would let 1.5 million Gazans out of their cage, not to mention throw a huge monkey wrench into the whole West Bank settlement project ! I don't know what you're thinking...

The UN forces would be as ineffective as they were the last time they were involved. If NATO wanted to provide the same level of support as they did in Bosnia, or in Libya, I am sure the Palestinians wouldn't have any problem with that.

Why would they? The UN is viciously biased against Israel.

Since 1956, half of all emergency sessions of the General Assembly have been about Israel.

There was not a single "emergency session" about the genocide in Rwanda, ethnic cleansing in the former Yugoslavia or mass murder in Sudan, where *millions* of people lost their lives.

There needs to be a monkey wrench in the west bank settlements...

On Gaza, not entirely. I still believe with an active Hamas, checkpoints would need to be maintained. Those that pose no security threat could travel to and from the West Bank via UN convoys etc.

They haven't been all bad, given that a few helped create the state to begin with and one in particular revoked the earlier resolution that zionism = racism.

Palestinians would have a major problem with that, since they would no longer be able

to carry out their signature cross-border hit-and-run attacks on Israel.

Are you kidding?

If you were a visitor from outer space and you looked at United Nations as the closest thing

we have to a world government, you'd think that the single biggest issue facing our planet

today is a tiny country in the Middle East called Israel.

It's mind boggling.

Well thats a whole other debate on prioritization. Arguably, Africa should be the primary focus of the world right now as there are only a handful of effective governments on the continent. Others face civil war, war lords, anarchy.

Yep. It was the UN trying to keep Israel from doing what it did anyways.

So Egypt telling the UN get out of the way was in no way a factor?
